Got this as a gift, and so far I’m pretty happy with it. Here are my 1st impressions: Pros: Solidly built - doesn’t rattle or move Good materials Can do a full and straight decline, something my old bench couldn’t do Very adjustable Assembly was pretty smooth (about 75-90 minutes). It came with all the correct parts. Cons: Assembly instructions weren’t great (not step by step, and it was not always clear which bolt or washer you will need). Ideally you will need an adjustable wrench, and a socket set, but could probably do it with just 2 wrenches. It is fairly high off the ground The top pads that go under your knee are not meant to be removable, and can be in the way for some exercises

Disappointing
I bought this 2 weeks ago and this bench is very disappointing. Although the website states it is for sit-up and ab crunches, it is not designed for it. The seat of the bench has excessive up-down wobble because the pin is either too small or the holes too large. Body Solid said that is the expected performance of the bench. Stay away from this bench and company - not worth the money. Not sure if I can return now that it is assembled and I did not save the box.

Good Bench, Bad Instructions
The assembly instructions were terrible. Also the parts weren’t packed very well inside the box. Some pieces were even bent and needed to be hammered out in order to fit together. Once I got it put together, though, I was impressed with the quality and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of good use out of the bench.
