A Good Curl Bar For A Good Price

Basically a curl bar. It does all the things a curl bar does. One caveat-the ends, where your weights go, are hyper polished. I don’t know that I would feel 100% confident putting high amounts of weight on the ends and then using a simple spring clip because of how smooth they are. Luckily for me I’m a middle aged fellow and needn’t worry about that though-just and FYI for you folks who like to really get at it.

Ok For The Price

Seems OK - packaging was awful, torn open on shipping. Main concern here is the knurling - its aggressive - almost sharp. Will prob want to wear gloves when I use this and I prefer not to.

Aggressive Knurling Makes It Unwieldable Without Gloves!

This bar had two things wrong with it = 1) not properly stored in oil - the collars already had light rusting on it and the worst part... 2) The knurling feels like super coarse-grit sandpaper...too sharp...makes it almost impossible to wield without gloves and I am not talking about typical fingerless workout gloves - I am talking about the full-fingered type. I gave it a chance by trying the bar with a bicep workout - next day it went back to my local dicks for a prompt refund! STAY AWAY!!!

Not A Great Bar At All

Too many things wrong with this bar - it was delivered in a cardboard light-duty tube which was partly ripped open. The bar is not stored coated with oil, so the 2" sections have light rust spots where the bar spins. The worst part is the knurling...I guess I should have read the amazon reviews because the knurling is so sharp that it's unwieldable unless you have hands made of leather or if you have full finger lifting gloves. I liken it to 50grit sandpaper. Definitely returning this item, just upset that I used my $10 rewards bonus on this, which you don't get back with returns.

Missing Clamps

Missing clamps that everyone is saying came with it. No recommendations to what clamps are compatible with this. Pointless to have a curl bar and weights and no clamps.

The Perfect Curl Bar

I used to go to the gym faithfully every morning. As I got older (early 60's), and working full time, I found working out at home was easier for me. This curl bar is identical to the one I used at the gym. Well made, sturdy, and the perfect weight for me. When my husband finally decides to join me, I will add the disk weights that fit on them. Excellent product, excellent service. This item goes hand in hand with the tricep bar I also purchased from Dicks.
