When paddle boarding I am usually wearing a full PFD but somedays I want a more relaxed configuration and I feel 100% comfortable trusting this waist belt PFD. Don't waist your money on cheap knockoffs and invest into this quality product it is worth it. Better Safe than Sorry.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The BOTE Inflatable Belt PFD is a strong choice for experienced paddlers who prioritize mobility and minimal gear bulk, and who are paddling in relatively calm waters or nearshore. It offers a sleek, comfortable design, smart safety features and a trusted brand backing. However, if your paddling involves rougher water, stronger currents, or you’re less confident in swimming in emergency situations, you may want to supplement or choose a full-vest PFD with automatic inflation or inherent buoyancy. This also isnt an automatic inflatable PFD, which is a positive feature to me as I dont necessarily need it to inflate if I fall in or get wet.

It’s comfortable to wear, easy to keep with me, and offers great peace of mind. The bonus is being able to keep it as an extra PFD for a friend when they join me paddling. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been using the BOTE Inflatable Belt PFD for a few months now, mostly while paddleboarding and kayaking, and it’s quickly become one of my favorite pieces of gear. I wanted a life vest that wouldn’t get in the way of paddling or make me overheat on long trips – and this checks all the boxes. Pros: Low Profile & Lightweight: It’s super comfortable to wear. I barely notice it’s on, which is exactly what I wanted for warm-weather paddling. Easy to Deploy: Thankfully I haven’t had to use it in an emergency, but the pull-tab is easy to access, and the CO₂ cartridge is simple to replace. Adjustable Fit: The belt fits snug and secure, even when I’m moving around a lot. It doesn’t shift or bounce. Quality Materials: The construction feels sturdy and well made, like it will last for many seasons. BOTE did a great job with the design and durability. Cons: Manual Inflation Only: Like most belt PFDs, you have to manually activate it, so it’s not ideal if you’re in rough water or might be unconscious when falling in. Not for Non-Swimmers: This is best suited for confident swimmers who want backup protection, not a substitute for a full life vest in risky conditions. Bottom Line: If you’re looking for a discreet, lightweight, and well-made PFD that won’t get in the way of your movement, the BOTE inflatable belt is an excellent choice. I now wear it every time I’m out on the water — and I appreciate the peace of mind without sacrificing comfort or mobility.
