Rated 2 out of 5 by from 2 big drawbacks The first is the pull-up bar, wrapped in foam rubber, leaves you with a grip diameter that is way bigger than most pull-up bars. Very difficult to get a good grip on it. The second negative is that the foam grips (which are also on the parallel handles) tend to split. Just not a good design. Other than that, the tower is very stable (which many are not) it's easily adjustible, gives a good variety of movements, and can be assembled / disassembled pretty easily. It would be a great machine if they had designed the grip handles / padding differently. I'm going to cut mine off.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good tower. I purchased this mainly because I was wanting something to do tricep dips and knee raises. I bought it in store and brought it home. Assembly is very easy, doable with one person. One recommendation is to start all the bolts and do your final tightening after the entire assembly is together. Also, the hex bolts are a cheaper grade of metal, so don't torque them too tight. It was packaged incredibly well, so there weren't any scratches after it was assembled. I believe it lists 18 exercises that can be done, but for all practical purposes there are about 6. The pull-up bar is nice, allows for narrow or wide grip pull ups and chin ups. I have average sized hands and the bar is not too big. Perhaps someone with really small hands may find the diameter of the bar too large. The upper arm straps are constructed very well and support my weight easily. The horizontal section for doing tricep dips is very sturdy and slides up and down easily and quickly. The main unit has some clear protective tape on it, so the paint doesn't get scratched moving them up and down. I'm 6' 0", 155lbs and the unit seems pretty solid for me. It flexs a little when doing pull-ups, but nothing too severe. It says it's listed for 300lbs, but I'm afarid you would see a lot of flex at that weight. It definetly wouldn't break, but may fatigue down the road. Overall I was very happy with the unit. For the price, it does exactly what I wanted it to do. The only people I wouldn't recommend it to are those over 250 lbs or if you're going to be strapping weight to yourself during the exercises. I'd say keep your total weight under 250 lbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for 7.25 Feet Basement Ceiling Since I play tennis, I figured the Bowflex Body tower would help strenthen my core/shoulder muscles and to complement this equipment, I bought a rowing machine for my cardio workout. Now I am ready come rain or snow.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Small Tower If you happen to be taller than 5'8" i wouldn't recommend. Always felt like it was a challenge to make sure you didn't touch the floor - keep knees bent high. I'm only 5'10". Nice equipment but hmmm.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Terrible packaging Came to my house in a tattered box. Metal scuffed. One of the grips was split. The product itself is nice. Sturdy, pretty simple to put together. Wish I bought it direct from Bowflex.
