Compact Power And Convenience In One Set

You Been Working Out? Yeah, I'm Huge.

Marked Weight Is Inaccurate

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this to replace the old model at my exercise studio. This is a well-made product, and indeed seems better made then the original, which was good. The weights as marked are incorrect, though. When 5 lbs is selected, they weigh 7.5 lbs. When 7.5 lbs is selected, they weigh 10 lbs., etc. Every weight increment is ~ 2.5 lbs. heavier than indicated. Sadly, for 5 lb weight needs, these are useless, as the minimum possible is 7.5 lbs. (despite saying it is 5 lbs). It seems the redesigned handle on the new model is ~ 2.5 lbs. heavier, to be more robust, but nobody caught this and adjusted the weights to be correct, or changed the indicated weight numbers to be correct.

Necessary For Any Home Gym

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had the original 552 series dumbells for almost a decade until giving them away. They were very similar to the newer model and my muscle memory couldn't tell any difference so it's easy to resume the same exercises. These seem just as durable. Only negative is that they are longer than traditional dumbells but that I've adapted to that. These are perfect for any home gym as you can hit nearly every muscle group with them and they take up next to no space.
