Bad!

There was a recall, I shipped back the item, and I have not received the replacement 6 months later. HELP DICKS!

Bowflex 552 Dumbbells.

Absolute trash, purchased for $400 and now a recall and they are offering $60 vouchers.

Terrible Company - Do Not Buy!

A recall was just issued for these dumbbells and they are only offering replacement for those that are 1 year old or less. For the ones purchased just two years ago, they are only offering $95.00 at bowflex.com and a stupid membership to their online fitness resources, which I have NO use for. $95.00 DOES NOT replace the defective product and they refuse to replace it. BUY FROM ANOTHER COMPANY BUT STAY AWAY FROM BOWFLEX. The recall is at https://www.bowflex.com/recalls.html.

Bought these as a birthday gift for my husband for our home gym! They are perfect, easy to use and don’t take up much space!

Avoid At All Cost

The plastic retaining ring broke while I was carrying these and dropped 25 pounds of weight inched from my foot. Bowflex said they would send a replacement part but has told me it's "out of stock" with no known restocking date despite these dumbbells being discounted for sale on their website. Then they said they don't have to honor the warranty because: "The company you purchased your product from, BowFlex Inc., filed for bankruptcy and has since been dissolved. Johnson Health Tech acquired the assets and brands of BowFlex and Schwinn on April 23, 2024, but did not acquire any of the liabilities of BowFlex Inc., including warranty coverage. Johnson Health Tech is continuing many warranty coverages for BowFlex and Schwinn branded products as a goodwill gesture." It's been 5 months and they still haven't replaced the part. All of the interactions with them indicate that they have no intention to do anything other than say it's out of stock to avoid actually replacing it. Beyond the design being a little dangerous, I would avoid this product if you place any value on the quality of manufacturing and the manufacturer's intention to stand behind their product.
