Started making a popping sound halfway through a training run (six miles), this is my second pair but am concerned that the quality of construction is changing.

Hyperion Elite 4

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While they are decent shoes, they are expensive, no peba foam, I did not feel much energy return while running- was going to use for a half but ended up returning- would like to try the Elite 4 PB, with new foam but unsure of such a high drop.

Comfortable And Fast

I love these shoes. I’ve got two PBs since wearing these. Super comfortable and feel fast.

Nice bounce to your step. Light weight and breathable. Very conforming to the foot.

Excellent Speed Shoe

I’ve used this shoe on grass, dirt, pavement, and track, and it performs great on all. I’ve used this shoe since July, so I would estimate 100-200 miles, and there isn’t too much wear. The fit of the shoe is great, love the snug feel. Not crazy amount of traction, but the hole in the bottom (where the plate is) can get some mobility out of the rocker. The DNA flash is very soft in the heel, and lessens further forward, giving soft landing and fast release. This shoe can be used of really any distance in speed. Only complaint I’ve had is the ankle bump it has, it gave me soreness one time, but never happened again, so it shouldn’t be a problem.

Just Get Them, Worth It!

Amazing shoe, fast and bouncy but not squishy. Relatively stable considering this is a racing shoe. I prefer them to my Saucony Endorphin Pro 4 because I recover faster after a hard workout in the Hyperion Elite 4. Elite 4 is comparably more stable than the Endorphin Pro 4. Excellent upper and ventilation. DNA Flash 2 foam does not stiffen up in the cold. I appreciate the design of the laces and how it makes it harder for them to get undone. Fit is perfect on my slightly wide feet. These shoes don't get proper justice from some online reviewers and I don't agree with that. I am really happy I gave them a try and they are permanently in my rotation now until I wear them down.

My First Super Shoe

When I first got these shoes I noticed they were so light that it made the box feel empty. My first run in them felt fast and smooth. The foam is firm which I like about them yet soft as they break in, truly softer than flash v1. The upper is really breathable and had no problem with laces or heel slips. I love these shoes and plan to run my first half marathon in them soon. Would buy again.

Great race day shoe. Light, comfortable, and fast.

Loved These!!!

I did something a little reckless and ordered this shoe a little over a week before my marathon (and it was only my third marathon). So I did an 8-miler in them to break them in, and then wore them for race day. They felt great! I had no issues at all. The laces are as amazing as all the reviews say. The energy return feels great, and it definitely helped me get my PR! Will definitely be racing in these from now on!

No More Knee Pain

My knees were bothering me, but the knee pain got so much better after getting these shoes. The base feels a little narrow and took some time to get used to, but overall a great shoe!! I am 50 years old and running 5-6 miles per day.

Super Shoes

I'm a 28, 5 ft 11 male. I run around 30 miles a week. Shoes: very light, very comfortable, very expensive feeling. We've all heard the joke about runners showing up at their local 5k turkey trot with some carbon plated shoes thinking it'll propel them forward past what they should be capable of. This is my first pair of carbon shoes and I can pretty much agree with this: they are fantastic, no doubt. I have worn them now on 3 occasions, all of which I have broken a personal best and in different categories. It doesn't feel like it's in direct correlation with the shoe as I know what I should be capable of already, but these shoes just make it EASIER to achieve this. 100% worth the buy and very happy about it.

Was nervous wearing new shoes before race day. They were amazing and my feet adjusted great. Ran a PR in my most recent marathon.

Richie

My name is Richard Romero from Bogota Colombia, I ran the Chicago Marathon oct 13 2024, my PR was in Paris 3,41, and finished Chicago in 3,20 I ran 21 minutes faster than Paris, the best shoes an also my training process made with glycerin 21. I Love Brooks

Good Marathon Shoe

Just ran the Chicago Marathon in the Elite 4s after training in the Hyperion Max 2s. The Elite 4s appear to hold up much better than earlier Elites which were pretty toasted after two marathons. Love the technical uppers/tongue/laces, the midsole could use a bit more spring, but all around great shoe and highly recommended.

Good But….

I loved these. However, I wish Brooks would make them with a little more stability. I can’t run in them for more than 3-4 miles without my ankle turning in. On the bright side, they are FAST!
