[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review. The shorts fit great I’m 6’0 185lbs with pretty big muscular legs. These size large are a great fit. I sometimes struggle with running clothes designed for skinnier runners. Very lightweight and comfortable however I prefer the liners with a phone holder vs this brief liner. I run with my phone mostly for music and with these it’s bouncing in the pocket or I need to leave it behind. If you don’t need to run with your phone these are perfect.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] love a good running short and I was excited to try this pair from Brooks for free. But, I try to keep my reviews as unbiased as possible. Let me start this review by saying that this is one of the strangest fitting pair of running shorts I've ever worn. I typically can throw on any pair of athletic shorts and run/climb/hike/etc in them no problem. Not these ones apparently. For years, I have heard women with muscular legs talk about how athletic shorts ride up and get gobbled by their thighs. This is how they fit. I have strong legs but not overly-huge quads, and yet, I found these shorts rode up and left way more thigh exposed than I should be showing for how slow I run. This was also uncomfortable as it pulled across the crotch and thigh with each stride, especially in more vertical terrain. Plus, when the shorts rode up it left a weird flap of fabric across the front that I didn't find very flattering. I took these out on one trail run but found them really uncomfortable when climbing (because they rode even higher when going uphill) and spent the rest of the time with them in the gym or on flat roads. I'm attaching a pic from the stair master of what I mean (be warned, there's a lot of thigh in it). I would imagine that if you're a skinnier legged person, these would be a dream. Other than the fit, I thought these seem like decently constructed shorts with a very minimalist vibe. The fabric felt light and "techy", and the liner was comfortable without being overly tight. I actually really enjoyed how flowy the fabric was and never once found them swampy or oppressive, unlike some other running shorts I own. The pockets are ok, but seemed less practical than I'd like them. I would've loved a back pocket with a zipper to stash a phone, or for the side pockets to have zippers for the same purpose. When I ran in my vest it was fine but if I wanted to go for shorter run then I found myself also having to put on my running belt which felt silly sometimes. The key pocket is a nice addition and seems to work well. Overall, I found that these are well constructed and light but not the right short for my body type. I do not plan to keep them in my rotation, which bums me out because I love the color.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] "I’ve been putting the Dash kit through their paces lately during lifting sessions, short runs, and some Peloton rides. While the tech side of the kit does its job super well, there are some things about the fit and feel that might make them a "love it or hate it" item depending on your preferences. Dash Shirt - The first thing I noticed about the shirt was the texture. It has a very "tech" feel to it. I tend to prefer a softer hand on my shirts, but again, it wicks super well with this blend and weave. Dash Shorts - The shorts are super nice with some excellent design features, notably the uber comfy waistband. Take note that these shorts have a brief liner. As a person who typically prefers shorts without liners, these took a moment for me to adjust to. The liner has narrow elastic leg openings that are just a bit too snug for my taste. All said, the shorts wick very well and are very lightweight. I received this product free in exchange for my honest review."

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Fit & Sizing I wear a Medium in the Dash Shorts at 5’10” and 190 lbs, and the fit has been excellent. The waistband feels secure and comfortable without being overly tight. The length and rise are well balanced and flattering, providing coverage without feeling bulky or restrictive. Comfort One of my initial concerns was whether the shorts would ride up during runs, but they stayed perfectly in place—even at faster paces. There was no chafing or discomfort throughout workouts, and they felt consistent from start to finish. Fabric Performance The material is smooth and comfortable against the skin. While it isn’t a true multi-directional stretch fabric, it still allows for comfortable movement and never felt restrictive. Breathability has been solid during runs, and sweat management has not been an issue. Mobility & Range of Motion Despite the fabric not being highly elastic, I had no issues with stride, cadence, or general movement during running. The shorts allow for natural motion without distraction. Use Case Versatility I’ve primarily worn these for running, and they’ve performed exactly as expected. They feel purpose-built for running and consistent throughout different intensities. Features The construction feels durable and well made, with thoughtful design and no unnecessary extras. Everything feels intentional and performance-focused. Style & Appearance The shorts look clean and athletic. They pair well with technical tops and maintain a polished appearance for a performance short. Comparison Compared to other running shorts I own, these stand out for their stability during movement. Not riding up was a big win and something I value highly in running shorts. Overall Impressions What impressed me most was how secure and reliable these shorts felt throughout runs. I’d recommend them to runners who want well-constructed shorts that stay put and perform consistently without distraction. Credibility: As a sports chiropractor who works closely with runners, I’m particularly attentive to fit, movement quality, and how apparel behaves during repetitive motion—and these shorts checked all the right boxes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was genuinely surprised by the texture of the fabric. Usually, high-performance gear feels a bit synthetic or plastic-like, but the Dash collection feels like your favorite worn-in cotton tee while performing like high-tech gear. I would absolutely recommend this kit to anyone from marathon runners to casual gym-goers. Shirt/Short Fit: The sizing is true to size for both pieces. The shirt has a modern, semi-fitted cut that skims the body without being tight or restrictive. The shorts offer a relaxed athletic fit—plenty of room for quads but not baggy. Waistband: The waistband on the Dash shorts is excellent. It feels secure and stays in place without digging into my skin. The adjustable drawcord is a nice touch to dial in the fit depending on the intensity of the workout. Side pockets are functional and moving the key pocket to the back is a great design choice. Hands down, this is some of the most comfortable gear I own. It feels incredibly light and barely there during a workout. I experienced zero chafing, even on longer runs. The shorts stay put and don't bunch up between the legs, and the shirt seams are smooth against the skin. The liner is supportive without being compressive. It keeps everything secure and is breathable enough that you don't overheat. I took this kit through warm (South Carolina 75F) outdoor sessions, and the breathability was top-tier. Air flows right through the material. It wicks sweat away from the body well and fast dried post-workout; The mobility is unrestricted. with good stretch, and the side notches on the shorts really help when opening up your stride or dropping into a lunge. You never feel the fabric "catching." I’ve taken this kit from an indoor session to a 10-mile outdoor run, and even just as loungewear. It’s technical enough for hard training but matte and stylish enough for casual wear. I really appreciated the subtle reflective elements for evening runs. It shows Brooks thought about safety without compromising the look. After a few cycles in the wash (and dry), the fabric looks brand new. No pilling, no shrinking, and the shape has held up perfectly. Compared to other generic athletic brands I wear, the Brooks Dash line feels higher quality. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
