Not Happy

The seam on the left shoe ripped after only a couple of hikes.

Trading Stability For A More Lightweight Design.

I am a long time Cascadia enjoyer. This year's iteration of a classic model brings an emphasis on lightweight construction with a noticeable sacrifice in durability and sturdiness over uneven terrain. An unworthy trade-off in my opinion that leaves a whiff of cost cutting in the air. Overall, this shoe still lives up to its reputation and capturers my loyalty for another year.

Curving Toe Box

Initially, these shoes felt great upon try on. I have had cascades before and other trail shoes from Brooks and road running shoes always the same size always worked well unfortunately these really cramped my sides my feet that toes. It seems like the last cuts sharply to a narrow toe. Didn’t work. Brooks has always been perfect however, are these just didn’t pan out with the narrow toe box

Affordable And Dependable

I needed a new trail shoe that wouldn’t break my bank account; this was it.

Bad Knees Trail Running

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I finally stepped up from Brooks Divide and these are fantastic. I run with Glycerine for my road days as I have have terrible knees. I had used Divides for my limited trail running. These felt slightly less cushioned underfoot than a glycerin, but the support is excellent. They feel like a Ghost + in terms of overall cushioning. Support is great in the ankle area. Traction on snow and wet leaves has been outstanding. They feel like they run a half a size large in the toe box. Initially, I was going to return the for a half size down, but running in the felt great and never loose. I am glad I purchased them.
