[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] well rounded solid trail shoe for everyday hikes! I was so sad to return my Catamounts a couple months ago due to fit, went to RR retail to try on, not wanting to risk buying in the mail this time. Cascadia fit perfect, reminded me of my first pair back when they had the Pacific crest trail version (which I bought 3 of). This shoe feels familiar, nice cushy tongue, enough ground feel to not wonder if I will fall off too high platforms, great on loose rock, tree roots, hopping over streams, and no slip on granite. Light blue gets dirty easily (could you make a fun darker color), and when I visited the southwest, ended up with a shoe full of sand through the mesh. Thanks Brooks, I'm back in love again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most comfortable shoes I’ve ever had. I have hip and knee problems and this shoe helps to alleviate both of those. I will be a lifelong Brooks customer from now on.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a 79-year-old hiker and fitness walker. After two longish hikes on varied foothills terrain, I am very pleased with this purchase. This is my fourth pair of Brooks shoes (two Ghosts and a Glycerin), and the comfort and fit are as expected. For the past few years I have been using a zero drop foot-shape trail shoe, and have been having to build up heel supports within the shoe to protect my Achilles. The Cascadia 19 doesn't have the biggest drop, but it is sufficient and I haven't experienced any discomfort in my heel or Achilles when wearing them, and there is plenty of width in the forefoot part of the shoe. The soles offer excellent grip on slickrock, dirt, and gravel, and they feel stable and supportive on uneven surfaces. And I like the little elastic strap to stick the lace ends under. It seems to prevent the laces coming untied or even loosening without the necessity of double-knotting. Like all Brooks shoes, they are comfortable! I don't even need to take off my shoes and slip into my Berks after a hike. No idea yet about durability, but my other Brooks shoes have been excellent in that regard so I'm optimistic.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Generally good first impression. Lots of cushion, almost too much. Not super stable. I don't like the heel slip. I suspect it will be a problem when on steep trails.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my second pair of Cascadias and won’t be the last. Over the past several years, I have moved to wearing trail running shoes because of their versatility. The soles aren’t real aggressive so they work well on mixed surfaces. I walk on paved and unpaved paths and do some light hiking. I like being able to wear the same shoes for everything. Also, it seems like a small thing, but I like the lace keeper on the tongue. I prefer not having the laces flapping around while I’m walking. Overall, I am very happy with the Cascadia shoes. Rich Marvin

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trail runners for the win! I’ve been using these for hiking and couldn’t be happier with them. My previous hiking shoes gave me blisters every time I wore them, but these have been incredibly comfortable with zero issues. They perform great on rocky terrain and dry surprisingly fast after getting wet. Definitely recommend giving them a try!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I took these on a four-day backpacking trip through subtropical terrain with a lot of mud, rock scrambling, steep descents, and multiple torrential downpours. The tread performed exactly how I hoped it would, traction was excellent even in very difficult terrain and slippery conditions. I felt stable the entire trip. I liked that they gave me the freedom to comfortably switch between hiking and running whenever I wanted to pick up the pace on trail. As expected, since this is not the GTX version of the Cascadia, the shoes soaked through almost immediately at the first hint of rain. I did have to deal with wet shoes the following day, but I was pleasantly surprised that they dried on the 3rd day after despite the high humidity where I was traveling. I might consider the GTX version if you are expecting to hike in wet conditions. The shoes were incredibly comfortable overall. I did notice some heel slippage initially, but using the last lace loop completely fixed the issue and locked my heel in place. Most importantly: no blisters, even after four demanding days on trail.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these to use as a trail hiking shoe instead of your typical hikers. My general knee discomfort just couldn’t take the hard-healed designs anymore and I am not about stop doing what I love because of it. Thus, the Cascadia 19 came to the rescue! Due to my high arches, I have podiatrist provided custom orthotics as a preventative measure. They fit great in this shoe and highly recommended trying them on with the orthotics to ensure a comfortable fit. I am very happy with this decision because the Cascadia 19’s have the right amount of cushion and stability. Also, the grip on hardpan and wood chip trails is awesome. Hopefully there will be more color combinations in the future because this is now my go-to hiking shoe. I have other brooks shoes for street walking and love them equally! As long as the design and quality hold, I will stay a loyal brand customer!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After 17 years of running in Ghosts I tried something new out of curiosity. Caused blisters even on short runs so I kept them as general wear and gym shoes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I keep coming back to Brooks for the comfort and the right amount of cushioning! Not too much but not too little - just the right amount of support to help you get the long runs in! Especially for a trail run, you kinda want enough support that your feet won't be battered by the end of the run. I give it 4 stars because I can imagine there's a world where trail shoes don't have to feel like they are weight-y - it's minimal, but you definitely can feel the bulk compared to a Brooks road shoe. I literally wore these shoes right out of the box and onto a start line for a half marathon trail run and still got a decent time (1st in my AG!) while breaking these in! Step into something comfortable and step towards your next goal this year!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Another great shoe! I’m relatively new to trail running so these are my first pair of true trail shoes. I’ve been running on the pavement for over twenty years and my go to shoe is always the Adrenaline or Glycerin. I will admit I have tried other brands over the years, but I always come back to Brooks. They are the most durable, comfortable and usually have some decent colors. Cascadia 19: That being said I love the stability and traction that I get from the wider base and aggressive tread. As far as the durability I’ve put almost 100 miles on them they’re almost more comfortable than when I first got them. However, and this is probably my only complaint on my left shoe on the sole that comes over the toe it appears as if the rubber is separating. I would hope that it wouldn’t get worse as I plan on putting a couple hundred more miles on this pair.

I have the winter forested and ordered these for summer, amazing trail shoes. So comfy and supportive!
