Great Shoe With A Lot Of Upgrades From Previous Model

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a pair or two of the old Cascadia and it was a very good shoe. This one improves from the original Cascadia in cushioning, stability , maybe not quite as flexible but I think that contributes to the stability a little.. I hike and run on very rough trails and this shoes does very well…. I had a pair of the Catamounts and they were very good too but not as much cushioning … and not quite as stable… both good shoes but the new Cascadia 20 wins for me …

Great Trail Shoe

I bought these a month ago and they have been great on the hikes I've been on. Very comfortable and sturdy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have worn brooks trail shoes to hike in for years. This Cascadia 20 is a great shoe. Much more cushion and not as stiff as the 19. Feels great right out of the box. The Vibram sole is a really fantastic addition and gives fantastic traction and a secure feel on the trail.

Massive Step Backwards

Why have we reduced the amount of toe box space? The shoe is tight and uncomfortable. Long time Cascadia wearer, so this is disappointing.

Hard Wearing And Tough.

My cascadia 17s are outstanding on the road, trails & high terrain which is my reason for buying the 20s which are also outstanding.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Cascadia 20. Support, cushion, weight. And I think the colour combo is cool! One thing I need help with: One of the laces had a tight knot in it and I can't undo it. That's how it came out of the box. Please send me a new lace to 311 NW 193rd Court Shoreline WA 98177. Thanks, Ian (been a fan of Brooks since May 2004)

Brooks Cascadia 20

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Previously having run in the Cascadia 17's, I have found the 20's to offer much more in the way of grip and also less initial breakdown of that grip. Apart from that, I see them as the same quality as most Brooks trail running shoes

Not Like The 18 And 19

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to purchase men’s because the Cascadia 20 for women’s is the ugliest colors Brooks has ever used. I have the same models from the last two years and this model Cascadia 20 is completely different from the 19 and the 18. The front of the tow sits higher than it did on the other ones and makes it look more sneaker like versus the lower profile that a hiking shoe typically uses. These feel like they have more cushion than the previous ones which gives more bounce when running. I use these for trail running and every day running as well as the treadmill and the road and due to the cushion I’m not sure they will be as stable as previous models. They don’t have the waterproofing wrapped around the bottom edge of it like previous models to either, and these have more fabric. I’ve gotten several hundred miles out of my last two pair and after running 1 mile in these, I’m not sure they’re for me. This is troublesome as I’ve spent a long time, figuring out what shoes worked for me to get the most mileage.

Very Comfortable

I've just started trail running and found the Cascadia 20 shoes to be very comfortable from a novice point of view.I've only rated at 4 stars due to not knowing how durable they will be.

Great All Round Shoe With Superior Cushion

Great cushioning that lasts a long time. Great grip and shoes withstand heavy usage much better than other brands I’ve used. These are now my go to

Super Fast Trail Shoe

The fastest trail shoe I have ever used. First run in these and ran my fastest 1/2 Marathon time, even beating my road time! The fit was a bit snug on the normal width compared to other Brooks shoes I wear so went for the wide version which was perfect. Overall a brilliant shoe. I love it

Shoulda Killed These Not The Catamount

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] They’re ok. Way too hot for summer running in Utah and the stack is pretty high and a little unstable. Not a fan of the laces either. Way worse than the catamounts. Rip

Almost Exactly What I've Been Waiting For . . .

Great cushion, super comfortable, but the toe box is unfortunately too narrow and confining, so they have to go back. Just a bit of correction would make them perfect for me.

Not A Caldera Replacement

It doesn’t come close to replacing the Caldera. The wide heel and bathtub grip on your heel for stability was so good on the caldera. These remind me why I stopped wearing Hokas! Unstable cushion is comfy but unstable.

Unique Shoe Due To It's Tacky Sole

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The traction/grip of these shoes is excellent- the material on the sole is tacky and takes a minute to get used to but grips very well even on uneven terrain. I’ve primarily used them on dry and dirt trails with no concerns and high confidence, in both running and walking situations. The shoe is very comfortable and stable, I was able to take an 8 mile hike on the first day of use with minimal discomfort or break in, it was stable and I feel that with adequate break in it will become more comfortable over time. The level of cushioning is adequate, I prefer a very cushioned shoe so I wouldn’t mind more, but it is sufficient to prevent any discomfort or rubbing even after long distances and hot weather. On uneven rough surfaces including rocks/gravel as well as mulch-dirt trails that I walk on regularly, these shoes feel stable and reliable - as I mentioned with the tacky sole, they do track a little bit dirt and debris from unpaved to paved surfaces, but that shakes off pretty quick too. Compared to other shoes and boots, trail running is my primary use case for these and they feel great because they provide just the right mix of grip, cushion and lightness to be a comfortable shoe on the trails I usually frequent, which go back and forth between fine dirt and asphalt paving. I haven’t used these on a treadmill or indoor track, but I don’t imagine these would be the right shoe for those due to the tacky feel.
