Perfect For Walking

I’ve used Brookes for the past 3 years for walking shoes. I walk 5+ miles per day. No foot pain, shin pain nor back pain.

Smaller, Tighter Than Past Years Glycerin Pairs

I’ve ordered multiple pairs of the last glycerin 21. The look is good but I’m not liking the fit. Today was the first time I wore them for over an hour straight and they are so narrow that my toes and both sides of my arch are hurting. They’re noticeably smaller next to my glycerin 21. Probably a half of a size and the 21 looks like a wide comparatively. The sole doesn’t have the same amount of cushioning and the heel of the shoe is shorter and doesn’t hug to my feet. I’m pretty disappointed because I’ve been holding off on getting a new shoe until the new version came out but I wish I just bought another pair of the 21s. I got the adrenaline 24 too with this order and those were even smaller to the point I couldn’t get my foot into the shoe. I’m hoping this will change because so many companies have lost my sale because they just keep making everything smaller and then don’t offer wide width past a certain size. I’m only giving this a 2 star because of the look of this color scheme and in the hopes they’ll break in. Right now, I’m not hopeful.

I have had Glycerin 20 and 21 for the past few years and have been happy with them. I was not happy with Glycerin 22; the 22's were not nearly as comfortable as 20 and 21 and I wound up returning the 22's to Brooks.

Brooks Glycerin 22: The Shoe That Made Me Question My Loyalty To All Other Footwear

I didn’t buy these expecting a life upgrade. I just wanted a solid running shoe not a full-blown love story. But the Brooks Glycerin 22 pulled up like, “Yo, tired of walking around like you’re 87? Say less.” First step in these things? Felt like I was gliding across memory foam made by NASA and blessed by monks. Soft, but not too soft. Supportive, like your day-one homie. My knees, ankles, and lower back? Haven’t said a word since. They’re somewhere sipping green juice and healing. Style-wise? Clean. Sleek enough that I low-key find myself flexing in store windows. Not full peacock mode but yeah, I caught the reflection. And yes, I liked what I saw. Only problem? Every other shoe I own now feels like a punishment. I put on my old trainers the other day and my feet straight up filed a complaint. Brooks, I didn’t ask to be spoiled. But you did it anyway. Respect.
