Perfection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Far and away, the best iteration of the Hyperion Elite (I've raced in 2s through 5s). I swear the last for these were made for my foot and running style with a slight thicker midsole towards the outer front foot and comfy midsection. The 6s have a solid plant and launch from the pavement, featherweight, and tight notching laces. Perfection. Well done, Brooks!

Extremely Impressed!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] UNBELIEVABLE🔥🔥! First run out of the box, my PR went up over a minute! Second run in them(this morning) over 2 minutes! I usually run in my hyperion max or hyperion 3 to train and this is my favorite by far! Highly, highly recommend getting this shoe to add to your rotation 🏃🏿‍♂️

Awesome And Responsive

Love these shoes, new to Brooks and the first run was “Wow!” I found these to be incredibly responsive and it will suit mid foot landers and runners chasing a fast time in races. I’m impressed, keen to compare some other models now when my other branded shoes reach mileage

Hyperion Elite 6

Hi there runners! Happy to be reviewing the Hyperion Elite 6 (HE6). I was hoping that Run Repeat had tested them already with their awesome "cut in half" online reviews, but unfortunately, not yet, and I had a milestone event looming, so I took a gamble and purchased them. (Besides...I've wasted money on less exciting things). I headed out for an 8k test on a hilly road. Super grippy underfoot (dry road, not tested on a wet road), incredibly lightweight, excellent cushioning and phenomenal energy return. The rocker propelled me straight away and I left behind any thoughts of instability after 200m. The shoes did, however, feel best for a mid-foot landing. There was enough cushioning in the heel, but landing hard on my heels felt a bit odd with the rocker position starting about mid-heel. (Then again, I'd read that rocker-style shoes are good for heel strikers, so maybe it's a personal thing). Overall, they kept my legs feeling lively. The lockdown of the heel and the overall upper felt secure and comfortable on uphills, downhills and flats when laced-up to the last eyelets, (better than their predecessor (HE5), which felt a bit more "scratchy" and stiff in the materials). The tongue in the HE6, is also slightly longer than in the HE5 thankfully. I also ran some tight turns on a downhill, to check stability and there was a little sideways shift of my foot in the shoe, but no different to all my other shoes. There was no rubbing of the shoe anywhere on my feet, nor any thoughts of the shoes causing blisters for longer runs. The size compared well with my Brooks HE4, HE5 and Ghost shoes, i.e., true to size. Even though they're unisex sizing, I thought the toe-box would suit the majority of runners, a bit wider than a women's standard B, with some extra height, but this actually felt like a good thing for longer events. The midsole drop (7mm), felt ideal, not too steep, nor too flat. I'll be interested in the Run Repeat review when it's ready, to see how the drop and stack heights compare (lab vs brand). Brooks appear to have worked really hard to create the HE6, but if there was anything I'd change, it might be to have the rocker start just a few mm's further back in the heel. Other than that, it felt like an amazing neutral race day shoe. Best wishes to everyone for their running goals :)

Why No Larger Sizing, Yet Again?!?

Well, here we are again. A great shoe (likely) from Brooks and no sizing for larger feet/runners. In this day and age, stopping sizing for race shoes at '13' is abysmal. Adidas race shoes go up to 14.5 and Nike 15. A shame really, love daily miles and tempo in Brooks other shoes, but on race day its a different brand on my feet solely due to size availability.

Feels Like Flying!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Brooks Hyperion Elite 6 is incredible. I’ve used them for a few workouts so far and it felt like flying. The cushioning combined with the speedvault+ plate, rocker, and light weight of the shoe are made for peak performance. I noticed a quicker snappier leg turnover and more efficient stride even just compared to the Hyperion max. One of the best parts is even after harder efforts, it felt easier to recover. The upper appears to be very minimal but it was surprisingly super secure. The shoe fits perfectly and true to size. Very excited to race in these!

Fun Race Shoe

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't often use high end carbon plated race shoes because they don't typically work well for me. I have a history of PF in my right foot that I have learned to manage and the Hyperion Elite 6 doesn't feel as stiff as other carbon plated race shoes I've used in a good way. It's definitely a shoe I'll use for long runs, tempo sessions, and VO2max sessions. I've even taken it on easy days and it manages to feel good for those slow efforts. I love the pads around the ankle that give you solid lockdown. I didn't have a lot of confidence in the upper when I looked at how thin and minimal it was but the durability has held up for me. It's also a great looking shoe.

New Pr Shoe For You

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Negatives: When making sharper turns, I felt that there was a lack of balance. It is possible that it is due to the stack height or the RapidRoll rocker geometries. I say this because propelling forward felt very smooth, but when it came to turns, I still felt pushed forward so balancing was harder. Use: Tempo runs, fartleks, race pace workouts, time trials Performance: They performed extremely well. After each step, I felt more power and spring in my legs. Faster paces felt easier. Not only did I feel great, I ran great too. I ran a new PR in the mile by 11 seconds. At the end of each run in the Hyperion Elite 6, my legs did not feel full of lactic acid or super fatigued. Features: The new carbon fiber SpeedVault+ plate really did it's job! That and the nitrogen–infused DNA GOLD cushioning which made the shoes feel super light and airy paired well together very nicely. Fit & Sizing: The shoe did feel true to size. When I tightened the laces, my foot was very snug. There was a very fine line between it feeling loose and extra tight, but once I found it, the shoe felt fine.
