All The Pockets

These are amazing for stashing gels and small items. Lots of pockets. The liner is comfortable but the front of the shorts is very tight. Oddly clenches against my groin and with long strides it tends to be a bit tight. Sizing up might give more room but waist will probably be too large.

Can’t Wait To Buy More

One of the best running shorts I have ever purchased. Super lightweight and free flowing; I love the multiple pockets, I was able to hold my keys, gels and phone barely even noticed during my run. Looking forward to buying more of these.

Perfect For Any Type Of Run.

I’ve enjoyed Brooks running tanks and shirts, but this was my first experience with their shorts. The Journey 5 is very comfortable, including the built-in brief. I hardly noticed the shorts during my run. The multiple pockets for storage were great. I carried my phone, one gel, and my car keys; I was aware of my phone during the first few minutes of my easy long run, but once I really got going, I couldn’t tell it was there. My only negative comment is that they run a tad large. I will add that I prefer a more snug fit with my running shorts, so this could just be me. Otherwise, this will definitely become my go-to for long runs.

I Like

I was a bit apprehensive if there would be enough pocket space, but found that there is plenty. Very comfortable.

Been using brooks shorts for 15 years now and needed new ones. Love the pockets. Not sure how big a phone fits in the back, I use an iPhone 13 Mini and it's fine. The large waist band worried me but, honestly, these are the best fitting running shorts I've ever had over my 45 years running.

Favorite Shorts

They’re light weight, comfortable & fast drying. I like all the stretch pockets around the edges & the zippered pocket at the back. Perfect for me.

Love these shorts. They are light weight, comfortable and allow for plenty of movement. They fit true to size.

Journey Shorts

I usually get the Sherpa , but bought these on a whim. I am not a fan of the 2 in 1 shorts and these come normal and are a comfortable fit with lots of pockets.

Great fit with enough room for any type of exercise.
