A Painful Purchase
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Every other Brooks shoe I have purchased--and I have owned many--fit like a glove. Not the Revel 8, alas. The moment I laced up they hurt, and it was clear why--the much smaller, shorter, and narrower tongue meant that the laces cut into my unprotected ankle. I re-laced and wore thicker socks, but neither strategy helped. What worked was to go back to my old Revel 7s: no pain.

Over Impressions; Great Shoe For The Money.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, so far, I like the shoes. The shoes are not too supportive/hard and not too soft. I think for the money they are one of the best buys in the Brooks line up. (3 to 5 miles per run). Training for a half marathon hoping they have enough cushion to make the long run comfortable.

Excellent Shape And Ventilation
This is a great shoe for dads who need something comfortable to walk and stand around in all day. The cushion is not too mushy or firm.
