[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The fit was perfect, super warm layer that has helped this cold winter and the pockets are the perfect size where i don't have to wear my running belt for carrying my phone and it doesn't jostle around annoyingly. I love this and if more colors come out will be ordering more!

I own 3 Brooks Shield Hybrid vests. So far I am dissapointed with the 3.0 version. Build quality is an issue. Specifically, all of the zippers are lower quality than the old version. Directly comparing the two vests I loved the old pulls. The new main pull in particular always flips up rather than stay down from resistance like the old one. Also, unzipping the main zipper mine seems to hang when taking off and harder to 'aim' when putting on. All of the components of the zips are smaller and probably lighter, which is great, but I am guessing they will be less reliable in the long run. Also, the Brooks logo is peeling off after the second wash. The neck/gaiter stands up more than the old version which is actually a problem for people like me with shorter necks. I feel like it's always rubbing against my chin. This vest still gives warmth in the right places but for the price I would appreciate better zippers. The buttons on the vent let you unzip partially but cool off which is great.

Very warm and lightweight. I don’t even notice I’m wearing it, definitely has become a staple of my winter training

Big. Had to return it. Purchased for husband- wish the smaller sizes hadn’t sold out.

I love Brooks quality and design but the Shield Hybrid Vest 3.0 runs way too large. I typically run in Medium in previous Brooks versions of this vest and I was swimming in the Shield Vest 3.0 Medium. I was bummed but had to return it.

Bought this for the cold up north, was perfect in Minnesota for morning runs 10-25 degrees F. The snap straps on the inside allow you to unzip for ventilation while holding the vest in place and not flying all over in the snow/wind. A great cold weather gear addition.

Perfect, light-insulation vest for running, walking, and hiking. Lots of pockets, including interior ones to hold gloves or even a water bottle. Material feels smooth and comfortable around the neck. What distinguishes this from other vests is heat regulation. The two snaps hold the vest together when fully unzipped. Size is spot-on, and the stretchy sides adjust to any layers. The blue is beautiful.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this vest so much I don’t want to actually use it for running because I want it to last a long time. I have been wearing it with button ups to work and it is so comfortable. I love the design and the fabric is really warm. The fit is a bit snug but it may just be indented to hug the hips more than I prefer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time wearing a vest and I was surprised at how much I like it. The vest is comfortable and lightweight. It fits just right and moves with me. The fabric is effective at blocking wind. It's great to wear with a long sleeve instead of running with a bulky sweater in the cold. I like the zippered outer pockets and two inner pockets. I wouldn't change anything.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Shield Hybrid Vest 3.0 has been a great addition to my outerwear collection, offering a solid balance between warmth and flexibility. In terms of fit and feel, the vest fits true to size and provides a nice, snug feel without being too tight. The armholes and neck area have just enough room for layering underneath, and it allows for good mobility without feeling bulky. Design-wise, it’s a sleek and functional piece. The streamlined look makes it easy to pair with different outfits, whether you're wearing it for outdoor activities or just around town. I like that the vest isn’t overly puffy, so it doesn’t add unnecessary bulk, but it still manages to keep you warm where it counts. The fabric is one of the standout features. It’s lightweight but surprisingly warm, with good wind resistance, which is key for wearing it on cooler days. The material also feels durable enough to handle the elements, and the slight stretch in the fabric adds to the overall comfort and ease of movement. What I liked most was the versatility. It’s great for layering and works well in a variety of conditions, whether you’re active or just need an extra layer. If I were to change anything, I might add a little more insulation in the chest area for those extra cold days, as well as additional interior pockets for added functionality. Overall, the Shield Hybrid Vest 3.0 is a well-designed, versatile piece of outerwear that performs well in different settings. It’s comfortable, stylish, and durable, making it a great option for anyone looking for a reliable vest.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been enjoying this vest quite a bit. It’s lightweight, but warm and comfortable without getting too stuffy. I like the style and it fits well, thanks in part to the stretchy fabric around the back. The two zippered front pockets are roomy, with a little inner pocket inside the right pocket for smaller items. Plus, there is lots of extra pocket space inside the vest, on both sides. While it would have been nice to have one more small zippered upper chest pocket for glasses or the like, it’s not a dealbreaker. Overall, I’d recommend this one.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this vest for the first time on an early morning run. Live in the Midwest and it’s pretty chilly in the fall, especially at 7 am when I like to run. The vest was comfortable and lightweight. I’d didn’t rub at all under the arms like some of the other vests I’ve previously purchased. I didn’t overheat either which is another plus. I also like the simple design and feel of the fabric. This will definitely be in my rotation for the foreseeable future.
