These pants fit nicely, are loose fitting, and have zip pockets along with zips near ankles. I'd say these pants are true to size and can be used for training runs along with races.

I like them but they run a bit small. I ordered the same size I normally do but they are a bit tight.

I ordered these pants online but they did not fit me very well.

It’s my first pair from this brand and I’m very happy with it, the material is light and seems well made. Haven’t tried it going on a run but I plan to do it soon. Length, color and the fact that I got it on sale make it a great purchase.

Quality of the pant was good for the price point, however they were too big so I had to return.

Tight around the calves, i have large calves relative to my size though, kind of an odd waist adjustment but better than the cheapest joggers i've bought for sure

I have been a long time wearer of Brooks running shoes. Over the last couple of years i have been slowly getting into more of the clothing. The Spartan pant is the most Comfortable Flexible pant i have ever worn. Highly Recommend!!

Lighter than expected. Nice pockets. Seem true to fit

I generally love Brooks shoes and clothing, but this one was a disappointment. The XL size was recommended for me, and the waist is a little large-as expected. But the pants legs are way too short.

They work good for cold weather runs. More comfortable than tights for me.

wonderful worn for decades but need to finally make it in extra long for us tall people

Quality pants, they may run a bit on the narrow side. Very comfortable and lightweight.

For true to size. These are breathable but also keep me warm enough for cold weather runs once I get moving (with with mornings usually in the 20s).

6'0" 155 lbs (ie thin frame) male and bought a medium which fits great in length (reaches the top of the ankles) and waist (though elastic in waistband feels a little lose and requires use of drawstring). bought for running in sub-freezing weather. normally run in tights when ≤ 40°, but decided to give this a try for when air temp or wind chill is below freezing to keep the legs a little warmer. done intervals, tempo, and easy runs and these feel great: not too loose nor too restrictive in the legs or crotch. perfect tightness on calf when zipped: tight enough to not ride up and loose enough to not constrict. not crazy about the cross-over-in-the-waist-band drawstring as it made tying the drawstring difficult. both side pockets are zippered; good enough for small, lightweight things (eg keys, ID card), but not a phone. (disclosure: i didn't use the pockets as i use a flipbelt for key, ID, and phone).

They fit just right. The pockets and zip at the bottom are excellent features.
