Rated 4 out of 5 by from Helping to heal I have planters fasciitis after switching from a career where I wore heels each day to a career where I am on my feet in flats each day. I desperately needed new shoes as each step in my old pair was absolute agony. I was limping and whining all the time. After conducting a little research, I learned that Brooks shoes were one of the best brands for people with high arches, in need of arch support. The associates at Dick's even shared their praise of the brand with me. I tried them on and instantly began to feel some relief. Several weeks later, my foot is recovering and feeling so much better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from HURT I bought the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 18 and returned them three weeks later. After my short runs (4-5 miles) I experienced pain in the balls of my feet. Even after boot camp I felt this same pain. There is absolutely no cushion, even though it is stated that this shoe is known for cushion, in this shoe. I was very disappointed with this model. The only reason I gave it one star is because I liked the color of the shoe. The Adrenaline GTS 17 is one of my favorite shoes (which I will be ordering another pair of on-line) and I expected to fall in love with the 18. NOT the case! Save your money and your feet, do not purchase this shoe.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Gave it a try in store I love brooks shoes and love my adrenaline 17's but for me anyway, this shoe is really diff' at first I thought really nice more cushion cupping heel and I could tell I was in a brooks structurally, I gave em a good walk around for a bit... but the front end feels cheap and rubbed the heck out of my little toe, size change did not help. The heel area is soft and supportive but front just lacks something. I feel I have much more support and comfort in old ones. The sole material reminds me of the ghosts, In general I love the 17's enough to buy another pair to have on hand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Be careful of the arch and coming up in the heel. If your feet run wide be sure to buy the size d width. I had to try on several different pairs before coming to this one. I previously owned the ravena's but this year's model (9) were too small for me now. I had to put the laces through the extra eye and do the loop technique because they were coming up in my ankle as if they were too big but they fit well around the middle of my foot. The first couple times I ran in them I had a lot of arch pain and tingling. The foot bed insert has a high arch. I replaced the foot bed with a flatter one and they work great now. Be careful of sock munching, I had to buy running socks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my feet! I have plantar fasciitis in both feet and the plantar muscle is thicker than it's supposed to be. Surgery is a must but I was trying to make the pain subside in the mean time. Max at the portage MI store was amazing and listened to my needs and concerns. These shoes help me get through an 8 hour work day on my feet on concrete floors with very little pain from my plantar muscle. I bought a 11 wide even though Max sized my feet for a 9 1/2-10 the 10 fit excellent but my research on my condition said to make sure your toes can spread out to stretch all the muscles in your feet so I went with an 11 and literally felt like I was walking on a cloud! I love these shoes and if it wasn't for Max I would still be in excruciating pain everyday!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Running Shoe I bought this a month ago for a 10k and this was the third shoe I purchased. The first was not right for my arch and hurt after only 2 miles, the second rubbed the back of my ankle and hurt after a 1 mile run, and the third was just right! I had great assistance from the girl in the department who did a gait analysis on me and pointed out this shoe. She even helped me order the exact one I wanted online and it was shipped to my home in a few days! I was happy that Dick's has such a great return/exchange program.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome fit and color!! I just received my gts18. I got the teal color. Love them. I been wearing Brooks adrenaline shoes for several years after having plantar fasciitis surgery on my right foot. My podiatrist recommended them. I will never wear another brand.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Should have renamed it -- no longer a GTS I've worn nothing but the GTS line for years and always loved it. But the GTS 18 is nothing like previous versions -- limited lateral stability and a weak cottony fabric. NOT supportive at all, a completely different shoe. If you buy this shoe for solid stability and support so that you can hike and work in it a lot, then do NOT buy it. Huge disappointment! Brooks has lost me as a lifelong customer.
