Caldera From The Beginning!
Caldera has been my go-to light trail runner and hiker from the beginning 8 years ago. Though I'm not a runner anymore, I use this shoe for any off-road walking and hiking I do. It provides great comfort and cushioning and a very rugged outsole for gravelly and rocky trails. This model, what I've noticed but not a game changer: a little heel slip and the upper is a little baggy on my foot.

Bring Back The Caldera 6
My last 3 pairs were Caldera 6 and I adored them. I searched online and found them after they were discontinued. I can’t find my size now or I’d buy another pair of Caldera 6. These Caldera 8 just didn’t work out at all for me—they were shorter, wider, and too stiff.

Wrong For Me
The shoes rubbed against my inner ankles. I ordered the correct size but the shoe profile just did not work for me. Seemed like a nice shoe otherwise. I returned them

Sizing
Sizing: I found the Caldera years ago - and like most shoe sizing I go with the Euro sizing as it seems to be the most consistent throughout various shoe brands. That lands me in a Brooks 7 - so excited for my new Calderas AND they are too small. I like a snug fit - no movement , no pad blisters etc, inside so I have ordered a half size up. Aesthetic: These have been the most structured light shoe that I have found. I am not in love with sneakers period and am very fussy about the toe box aesthetic. No thank you to long extended swaths of material making feet look like floppers. Comparisons: I have Hokas that I love for on my feet all day (now my daughters at the pizza shop!) but these brooks are my favorites for hiking, once running and low grade workouts.

Smaller Than Previous Edition
Curious if anyone else had sizing issues on this one. I ordered these to replace my size 10 caldera's from 2022. I ordered a size 10 in these as well and they fit a lot smaller. My big toe hits the front when going downhill. I never had that issue with my previous edition. I still love the shoe, I will just have to size up a half size
