Great Color

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the traction, color, and how they stay clean. Very comfortable:). Will buy again .

My First Pair Of Catamount 4 Shoes. Love The Fit

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the bright color! Orange is my Favorite!! Light weight and super comfortable. They fit perfectly!!

The Tongue Is A Dealbreaker

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Usually I love Brooks, but unfortunately I am going to have to give these a poor review. My main issue is with the tongue. As others have said, the thin tongue feels thin and cheap. What's worse is that is really long and because of its stiffness, I found it crimping and digging into the front of my ankles in quite a painful way. Perhaps foolishly, I tried to love these and stick with them, but I think that has led to some more lasting ankle pain. Again usually love Brooks, but these were a no-go. Please bring back previous models with the shorter, softer, more conventional tongue!

Improved Shoe Lace, But Too Wide!

I LOVED the Catamount 2 and wore them until they fell apart. BEST SHOE EVER. Despite the improved shoe laces on these, the Catamount 4’s are way too wide! My heel slips out and my feet slide around in them. Please bring back the previous fit! Or start offering narrow sizing for your trail runners!! I loved having a trail runner in a cute style and color scheme!!

Sad! Going Back

I have had and loved all prior Catamounts, but this version hurt my heel after a 30 min break-in walk on the trail. First noticed sock slipping, then the achilles/ankle soreness started. I like a firmer ground feel, but honestly these felt stiff and tight in the forefoot. I can deal with the thin tongue, but agree with other reviewer who said it feels like stiff plastic. Boohoo, Brooks, all my favorites have disappeared from your lineup. Not sure how much longer I can keep my cat 3's going...

Beautiful, But Didn’t Love Them…

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wanted to love them, but they are very narrow and stiff. Sticking with the Cascadias.

Nurse Approved

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfort! Lots of compliments! I am a nurse in my feet all day, I love Brooks

Love This Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My adventure shoes. Love brooks brand shoes. I have couple of them

DeborahG

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Comfortable except for the tongue which is made of a rubber like material and as a result it catches and grabs onto my socks, which makes it attack difficult to put on

Happy Girl

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I normally wear 8.5. I ordered a 9 and they are perfect, both with and without my superfeet insoles. I’m not a serious trail runner. I just go on adventures with my dogs. I’ve found these shoes to be very stable (no rolled ankles!), to have good traction on grass, gravel, rocks, and pine needles. While they slip slightly in mud they do much better than a road running shoe does. I have arthritis and a small bunion in my left great toe, and the 1/2 size larger has given me adequate room to accommodate that.

Grippy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Light and grippy enough for soft trails while still being comfortable for hard surfaces :) Supportive without feeling bulky. Great color choices.

Don't Like Changes

For the first time in several years, I am disappointed in this shoe. I don't like the tongue, the shoe feels "plastic-y" and narrower, and the shoe rubs on my ankle bone. Also, why are they always such wild colors? I have an earlier version from a few years ago that is a nice blue and that has held up much better than more recent versions. I will keep the shoe, as the changes are slight enough to have the shoe still work for me. Just sayin' ...

Love These Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Perfect fit. Love the colors. Shoelaces are the best!
