I’m a power walker and do about 8-10 miles a day in these shoes. The cushioning is fantastic, especially for heel strikers like me. I supinate mildly so I appreciate the just-right level of arch support. Most neutral shoes really amp up the arch support and it’s very uncomfortable for me. These hit just the right note. They offer excellent stability on multiple surfaces—grass, pavement, dirt, light gravel, and have enough grip to keep me upright even on rainy days. I tried two different hoka styles, the On cloud, and the brooks glycerine (which was also superior but not quite perfect) before landing on the ghost max and it is the only shoe I’ll wear now for my daily walks. Just the perfect balance of cushion and support for distance walking and running.
