Great Support For Imperfect Feet

I use these shoes for golf and walking. They cushion and support my sensitive feet and weak arches extremely well, providing comfort and giving me an energetic lift to my step. Liked my first pair so much that I quickly purchased a second pair in a different color. A golf friend, a longtime Brooks fan, suggested putting a small piece of duck tape inside the shoe where the big toe meets the mesh in the toe box. She said this extends the life of the shoe by preventing the toe from poking through the mesh over time. Great suggestion as that is exactly what happened to a pair of Brooks I bought several years ago. Perhaps Brooks could start making their mesh topped runners with an invisible reinforcement in the toe box.

Utilitarian Must Haves For Serious Walkers

Love the Ghost sneakers. I buy a new pair at least one a year. They are my utilitarian sneakers for daily hikes or trips that involve long days of sightseeing. I wish more came with black bases and darker colors because the white bases get dirty quickly when walking in woods and such. I also appreciate that the sizing is consistent year over year. Easy to order and not wonder if they’ll fit.

Sorry to say I returned these. I have the Ghost 13 that I really like. I didn't like the gray color that I chose. I've now purchased a NB shoe. Maybe I'll come back to Brooks in the future...

I know running shoes are so individual but I'm a new runner and went through 4 different pairs of shoes before having success with these and not having the ankle and back pain I was experiencing with the other shoes. I'm super happy and it was such a relief to find comfortable shoes. I only run up to 5 miles and mixture of treadmill and outdoors. I'm a size 9 to 9 1/2 in none running shoes and a 10 was perfect for me in these. I would say my feet are normal in width. I'm used to wide toe boxes from weight lifting shoes, these feel just right to me.

These shoes did not fit like the previous versions. I ordered a wide and it was to narrow and caused blisters. Please bring back the older version of the ghost. They were always wide enough and never caused blisters like the ghost 17 did.
