Need More Colors Inside Sizes

Too Much Cushion

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was eager to try the Ghost 17, especially since the 10mm drop is a welcome improvement over the 12mm drop of previous versions. I have low-volume, medium-width feet, with narrow heels, and this shoe is designed well for my foot. It has been very difficult to find a shoe that my foot doesn’t swim in because of the excessive fabric on the upper. The heel lockdown is very secure, but that does mean that it requires more effort to put on. The quality of the Ghost 17 is excellent, but ultimately, it didn't work for me. The cushioning was too aggressive, and it made my stride feel unnatural and unstable. It’s a well-made shoe with some great updates, but it is over-cushioned which was problematic for me. I’d recommend it specifically for those with narrower, low-volume feet who want or need an insane amount of cushioning.

Too Narrow!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve been running with Brooks ghost for many years and was very disappointed with the 17’s. I ordered the wide as always and found that they were still too narrow. I did check reviews prior to purchase and noted negative comments about the width-but was hoping they were exaggerated. Unfortunately, they were not! Hoping they correct this flawed design so I can continue to have these in my running collection.

Comfort & Aesthetics
