I have been running in Brooks Ghost shoes for almost 15 years and never had a problem until now. I got blisters consistently on the sides of my big toe from this model. I never had to "break in" Ghost shoes, as this is typically a great and reliable shoe. After a month of running ~25mi/week I still get blisters. I wear a wide shoe but feel that even the 1D width is narrow, hence the blisters. The whole shoe material feels rather stiff and not very breathable, the tongue also has to be shifted to the left side slightly as to not dig into my ankle; this is a new problem I have never had with Ghost shoes. The ankle seems rather low cut as well. Come on Brooks, why fix something that isn't broken?

Running Staple
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried and true sneaker! I ran my first half marathon 3 years ago in Ghost 14s, and am running another this year. I wanted to update my sneakers for training/race day and saw that the 17s are the improved version. They arrived on time and in great condition. During the first run, they definitely felt tight and had to be broken in, but by the second and third run I was back to feeling like I was running on clouds 😊 Love the neutral colors and reliable performance!

Brooks To The Rescue Again
I love Brooks Ghost sneakers. They are comfy and great for walking a lot as well as for runs. So glad I got another pair...my go-to sneaker!
