Disappointed

Loved the shoes. Great fit, but they ripped 2 times. One of them was after wearing them for 2 hours of walking. It was a bummer because they were so comfortable. I googled and looks like this is a common issue with the ghost shoes. I had to trade them in for a different brand.

Miss The Prior Ghost Shoes

I have worn the Ghost style shoe for many years and have loved the fit, the comfort and the overall feel. I walk about 4 miles a day on the road and hard surface. I feel the Ghost 17 are a harder, firmer shoe (not as cushions as the prior Ghost styles). They are also cut higher around the ankle on the outside of the shoe and rub my ankle. I am returning the Ghost 17, but keeping but keeping the Adrenaline GTS 24. However, the Ghost 13, 14, 15 and 16 are my faves, by far. Sad they changed them up so.

Not A Fan Of The Ghost 17 Changes!

I thought maybe the reviews talking about the changes in the 17s were more or less flukes, but they are spot on. The 17s are much more stiff and rigid than previous versions, and there is less cushioning. The shoe runs more narrow, too. I kept them, hoping they would break in, but after 2 months of daily walking (3-4 miles/day), they feel pretty much the same as when they came out of the box. It’s time for me to order new ones and sadly, after being a Brooks Ghost diehard for years, I’ll be looking for a different shoe.

Not The Same As Previous Versions

I've been loyal to Brooks Ghost for around 10 years, but the 17 is not the same. Narrower in the toe box than previous versions, they gave me blisters on my first run. Had to return these and switch to something else.

A die hard ghost fan here - but truly disappointed. Running in ghosts for years .. the original ghost max is the best shoe . Since then they have been such a disappointment- way too narrow and not cushioned at all .. the ghosts 17 are like trying to run on brick soles that squeeze your feet . Please Go back to the original ghost max
