Ordered Wrong Size, New Ones Are Great!

Ugly But Great

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tried and true. Have been wearing these for years. Literally only complaint is that Brooks refuses to make shoes that are cute. The colors are consistently awful. Every other shoe brand can produce cute and functional shoes, not Brooks. Ugly every time. But I keep buying them for their solid running performance.

Great Shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really happy with my new Ghost 17 sneakers. I’m a walker, not a runner and these shoes are great. Plenty of room in the toe box and plenty of cushioning. I always size up in sneakers to accommodate different socks and to not feel cramped. Dedicated Brooks wearer.

Walker

I have a pair of Ghost 14 and 17. I like the heel design of those better. The cushion is great, but I am not a runner. I walk on the treadmill. For me the sole is pretty thick. I am a size 7 Women's medium.

Do Not Recommend

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a runner and I have never been less impressed with a shoe. Out of the box, they are extremely flimsy, squeaky, and slippery. There is no grip or traction so not even running in rain but in slightly damp surfaces and I was sliding all over the place. Cannot recommend and really disappointed since they were so expensive

Speaking From Years Of Experience With This Brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Over twenty years ago I purchased this brand on a doctor’s recommendation. Several years ago I tried Hoka but after several months I gave them away and went back to Brooks Ghost. They are the best wide shoe for my feet. They run true to size from year to year and the quality is long lasting. I am using old país for working it in the garden or mowing the grass. I am almost eighty and you young people need to not skimp on your shoes. Get the best for your feet because your feet stay with you all your life and you will have no regrets with the comfort and quality of these shoes. After I bought myself a pair, I gifted my daughter with the pair pictured above.

Very Comfortable

I’ve been wearing Brooks Ghost for years but switched to Brooks Adrenaline without realizing the support structure is totally different and not suited to me at all. Happy to be back in the comfy Ghosts. Also, Dicks was awesome for delivery. Arrived next day! Very pleased.

Love Them

I stand on my feet 8 hours a day. I love my Brooks Ghost 17 shoes.

Watch Out For Crunched Toes!

Ghosts have been my go-to for years, for everything, but unfortunately this model's noticeably narrower toe box isn't a winner: consider going up a width.

Prefer Fit Of Ghost 16

The vinyl lace placket on the Ghost 17 is different than the 16. (The 16 does not have the vinyl restriction.) The 17 does not allow "give" for extra space when loosening the laces. IMPORTANT NOTE: The lacing placket is the same length for a women's size 10 shoe as is for a size 5.5 shoe. An average person wears Brooks lacing construction over the instep. A shorter shoe, with the same lacing construction, lands further down the foot, closer to the toe area.

My New Ghost 17 Sneakers Are The Best!

They are comfortable from the moment you put them on...no break in period needed. They are very comfortable and supportive for long walks and exercising.

My Go To Sneaker
