Design Change Doesn't Work For Me

I've worn the Ghost shoe for several years, but something has changed in the structure. It seems to be cut a little higher, and is rubbing my ankle bone, which it never did before, and is uncomfortable. I hate to give it up, but it's not working well any more.

Sturdy And Well Designed

I just started running and found these shoes hold up well for everday runs. They are slightly on the firmer side in terms of the step. I have also received several compliments on the color and design. I would buy these shoes again.

Hard Pass On Ghost 17s

I have loyally worn Brooks Ghosts for the last 12-13 years, and when I tried on the Ghost 17s a few weeks ago at my running store, I had to make a hard pass. While there has always been subtle differences in the shoe model each season, this year's shoe was just unacceptable for me. The difference in the fit and feel was instant and not good. My issues were the same as many of those reviewing the shoes before me. I immediately came home and bought up as many pairs of the 16s as I could to get me through the next year of running. Hope Brooks comes to their senses with the 18s and goes back to what has made the Ghosts the favorite shoe for many runners for so many years. Starting with me...

I’ve worn brooks ghost for 14 years and I too purchased the ghost 17 and they are so uncomfortable. I continue to get blisters and my feet hurt. They are tight in the toes. I should have returned them. Loved the brooks 15 and my 16. I even went back to them and they have no traction and almost have holes in the bottom and they are still more comfortable than my 17s.

I have been a long time Ghost fan, however am very disappointed with the 17s. An area at the top of the laces is hard/sharp and broke my skin while running.
