Love The Forefoot Cushioning

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the better cushioning in the forefoot and I'm glad the tongue is longer. The heel locks in and the overall fit is great. However, the tongue is not very cushioned. I also noticed that the side of the shoe around the ankle is no longer cushioned. It doesn't bother me when I run, but somehow this shoe isn't as comfortable out of the box as ones in the past. I also wish that instead of a 10 mm midsole drop that it was 6 or 8. I feel like the heel is too high and I notice that when wearing this shoe my knee hurts compared to other shoes of different brands with a lower drop. Now my favorite shoe is the Ghost Trail.

Don’t Like The Design.

I don’t like how long and bulky the shoe is. I prefer the ghost 13 and 16 style.

It’s Fine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While I like the cushioning and color options in this model, I don’t appreciate that I practically need to guide my foot into the shoe (only one of them at this time) due to the folding-in of the heel collar every time I put it on. It seems defective. Also, since my foot is on the border of being “wide”, I have gone back and forth with the width and size on the various editions of this shoe. This one seemed best going to the 1/2 size up, rather than the wide.

Love The Ghost 18!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a Ghost loyalist for almost a decade, and this has been my favorite model for some time. Light, a soft cushioning on the top/tongue that makes it significantly more comfortable, with the same supportive structure that the model has always had.

Comfortable

So far so good. New tongue cushion is soft on top of foot where I have a problem.

Cute But Lacking Support

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the color, and while they are initially comfortable, I don’t see me lasting all day in them as they are lacking substantial arch support.

Why So Long?

Brooks running shoes (especially the Ghost series) have been my go to for years! However, it all started to go downhill with Ghost 16, although still tolerable. When Brooks introduced Ghost 17 with an increased shoe length, they no longer fit and were unusable. I figured I'd try again with Ghost 18, which I think may be even longer in length. Now I'm finding that all Brooks shoes are too long to fit my size 5 feet. At some point, a size 5 stopped being a size 5, and I wish shoe makers would just come clean about it. Unfortunately this will be my last attempt at buying Brooks. Thanks for several good years!

Excellent Shoes For Nurses

Super Comfortable

I need a wider toe box, this fit the bill. Great traction. Just enough padding/support.

This review is more regarding the Ghost 15 which I ordered several years ago and sadly, this pair is needing replacement. I have a 12 N, and it is extremely hard to get just the right fit. The previous Ghosts were perfect. Tried recent Adrenalines, but they were a touch short. Truly wish companies would quit messing with shoes that are highly rated, changing platforms and cushioning that appears to work for the majority of runners. Can't find the 15s anywhere on the internet, let alone in my size. Agreed that color options are pitiful for the larger and narrow width buyers.

Wide Heel

I bought the narrow shoes, and these do run wide. I can snug up the toe box, but the heel is loose enough that I can pull them right off, while tied.

Big Toe Box

I am very happy with the Brooks running shoes. I have customized orthotics that can make buying shoes difficult. But these Brooks sneakers are a good fit. And I have lots of room for my toes. The sneakers are very comfortable. I bought two pair, one in light blue and one in all black. I am happy with both.

Moms Bday Gift

She really liked the shoes. The colors are definitely her style. They are very comfortable and help her with support while walking.

Perfect running shoes. Have run for years on Ghosts and they stay high quality.
