Needing A Dependable Shoe

I have been wearing Adrenaline sneakers for over 10 years, and loving them. After 2018 the line seemed to change. My latest 2024 pair was ok but didn't feel as comfortable as 2018 and earlier shoes. I was hoping the Ghost Max 3 would be a new go-to shoe. I used the shoe as it was right out of the box with no adjustments as I usually do. I ended with red rub marks around my ankles. When I loosened the laces that went away, but the laces were so short I could barely tie the shoe. Sometimes I use the last whole in the shoe, and I would have to buy new laces to do that and comfortably tie the shoe. For the price of the shoe I don't think I should have to do that. I walked twice more and found the shoe was now loose a bit in the back of the shoe. I found my legs felt tired after using and not relaxed. I decided to return the shoe. I'm wondering if I need to find another brand as my go-to dependable shoe.

Rocker Design Puts Too Much Weight On Back Of Foot Causing Awkward Stride

My podiatrist recommended a good toe-supporting and roomy toe box sneaker due to my big toe arthritis and foot neuropathy. He sent me to an athletic shoe store to try various brands. I landed on this one and the store ordered it in my size. But I’m disappointed. As soon as I tried it on and stood up, the shoes made me feel like I was falling backwards. I’ve worn them several times since and I can’t get past this effect. A couple times I almost fell because of it! At my age, that is not good. The weight imbalance, favoring the back of the shoe instead of the front, causes me more effort to walk. It’s putting undue stress on my shins. The shoes also seem to be a half size too small, even though the size was chosen based on the machine that analyzed my feet in the store. The same size fit me perfectly in several other high-end shoes I tried on, but not this one. I’m sadly going to have to return them.

Bring Back The Old

I ADORED my Ghost Max OG’s From 2-3 years ago. I had 3 pairs. These are awkward, they hurt my hips, and they feel soooooo …. Clown like. I tried using them 3 times, nope. I missed my old babies. And they slip when wet!

Great - Except For The Tongue

These shoes would be perfect if the tongue didn't jab into my instep.

Wanted To Love Them, But....

I've owned several pair of Brooks over the years, including the ghost 10 and 16. I wanted to love these shoes! When I initially put them on, they were so comfortable and cushiony, but after wearing them for a short time walking, my foot was sliding around the toe box and getting hot on the bottom? ...not normal. They became so uncomfortable and I worried running sprints or anything else would infact would cause an injury from just not keeping my feet secure. I did return them and purchased the Glycerin 22, which is my 3rd pair of Glycerin's and I love them. They are not only comfortable, but keep my foot in check and secure. The turnaround was quick and I appreciate that. Thanks for making that part easy.
