Change In Fit From Previous Models

The fit of the Glycerin must have changed since the 21 because I tried the 22 and had to send them back. The toe box felt tighter to me and after running in them, I developed pinch blisters between my toes. Such a disappointment since I have been running in these since the Glycerin 17 model.

There is a design flaw in the toe area that causes the top of the shoe to have a bend in the fabric that rubs the big toe. The toe box even in wide are still small. They are not as comfortable for the price paid. There aren’t any cushion for the soles. First time paying this much for shoes because my neighbor said they are good for plantar fasciitis and inflamed tendonitis. That is not the case with these shoes. I returned.

Toe box is too narrow, even in wide. I am an overpronator with naturally wide feet. I used to wear Adrenaline GTS but wanted something less firm and Glycerin GTS sounded like a good choice. I bought these in my usual Brooks size to wear with my usual Superfeet inserts (7 wide), to wear for walking 3-5 miles. While I thought the stress fracture was solely contributed by my increase in distance, I quickly realized that it is also due to the narrower toe box in these shoes, after wearing my Birkenstocks for the last week, and then putting these back on and immediately feeling pain. My toes cannot properly splay. I’m returning and ordered some Adrenalines. I’m hoping that the Adrenaline wide toe box is roomier.

The cushioning isn’t a good as it has been previously.

Very comfortable and supportive. I ordered half a size bigger as per the suggestions in the comments, and I am so glad I did. Great shoe so far.
