Disappointed

I've owned many pairs of Revel over several iterations. I'm a neutral runner who doesn't like more than an 8 mm drop, and I prefer to have some ground-feel. I excitedly awaited the release of the 8 when I saw they were switching back to the 8 mm drop vs. the 10 mm drop of the Revel 7. Unfortunately, the sole has no energy return and feels stiff and unforgiving. This makes it feel like a cheaply made shoe that is designed as more of a walker than for running. I'm returning these and will find another pair, but I'm probably done with the Revels in the future, which is extremely disappointing because previous versions felt like a great balance between a comfortable ride and not breaking the bank.

These shoes are so comfortable. I do a lot of walking and my old shoes didn’t offer much support. My back was always hurting. Not any more!

I LOVED the Revel 7 model, so I ordered the 8 thinking I would love it too. I have worn past models of the Revel and never had any issues. While I do like the colors and how it looks, it runs a little tighter in the front than previous versions. My toe hits the front on one shoe even though I ordered the same size I have always worn. A bit disappointed in that, so I am hoping they stretch out with time.
