Better Than Trace 2 Or 3, Worse Than Trace 1

4 stars because it is a well designed, useable shoe for the price point. The toe box is bigger than most Brooks and I appreciate that there is no heel slippage (a common issue I have with most shoes, including Brooks). The shoe has poor response and steals energy, so not good for sprinting— the footbed is kind of squishy. Will be returning but do recommend if you don’t mind a nice fitting shoe for jogging.

Not The Same As Previous Versions

Not the same as previous versions. My sister got me hooked on Brooks several years ago. I have owned Trace 2 and 3. They fit and wear amazing out of the box! The Trace 4 do not. I wear these shoes daily for work and by hour 7, they are starting to bother me. Some days I can work 9-12 hours and my feet are definitely feeling it. Please stop updating the shoe fit! They aren’t getting better.

I have exclusively worn Brooks for over a decade.I have tried multiple neutral styles and they have been great. I loved the Trace 3, so when Trace 4 came out I bought two colors. Both pairs are ill fitting. I don’t understand the dramatic change.

Favorite Brooks

This is the only Brooks in the last cycle that really fits well. My heal doesn't slip. I like the loop on the heal. Please keep making these
