Cuts Like Butter

Bought after a Chinese knock off failed after cleaning 8 fish. The BUBBA cut thru these 8 crappie like it was butter. Didn’t even slow down the battery either. Only complaint is the trigger mechanism is a bit tough to keep depressed. Plus I hope this very expensive knife doesn’t strip the small plastic drive gear like what happened on the Chinese clone I had. This knife should have a brass drive gear seeing how expensive these are. Or at the very least offer a replacement drive gear in brass. Update 10/03/25. Have cleaned over 100 fish mostly crappie and only charged one battery. Others have made comments how much more quiet it was compared to the Rapala HD. Got use to the trigger and it’s great.

Under Powered

Very nice knife with a price tag but unfortunately it is under powered with slow blade reciprocation in addition to the high cost of battery and blade replacement Maybe ideal for the average person but just don’t cut it for a Charterboat business Stay with a plug in model from name brand competitors which is more powerful and less expensive replacement blades and batteries The lithium pro model offers a little more power but nothing in comparison to the name brand competitors plug in models and mine crapped out after two seasons in a seasonal state

Electric Fillet Knife For The Win!

I’ve never used an electric fillet knife, but this thing worked great! It took a little getting used to on feeling the backbone, but in no time I got it down and filleted 40 rockfish with ease!

Poorly Made And No Replacement Repair Parts

About this knife last year, used it once went saltwater fishing again this year and the gear stripped out of it. They did not offer replacement parts and it’s a cheap plastic gear that’s driven by brass worm gear.. your knife will fail. It could be easily fixed, but they will not provide parts for them. Is this part was brass also it would be virtually indestructible. They don’t want it to last.

The on,off switch is very uncomfortable. The handle is to big around. Filleted walleye yesterday. Today I have an ugly blister on my trigger finger. Wished I had not purchased. First rechargeable I have bought. My buddy told me to buy the rapala. Wished I had.

Don’t Cut!

Used only a handful of times, used 2 weeks ago and had a difficult time cleaning 12 walleye, tried all 4 sets of blades and nothing changed, so I bought a new set of 9” flex, tried cleaning a couple walleye today with the new set and same results, battery is fully charged, very disappointed in the knife for the money my wife spent on it for a Father’s Day present

Old N Strong!

Bought my cordless knife when they first came out. Have cleaned a whole lot of perch, crappie, and walleye over the years with zero issues. I laughed when my brother thru his corded knife in the trash after seeing how easy and nice it is to not fight a cord. Headed right to the store to buy his! My original batteries are still going strong as ever too! I assume the lithium will fit when the day comes to replace mine?? Bought the knife set for home too and they are extremely sharp and make meat carving a pleasure. Bubba products are the best.

Worth It

I’ve been wanting this knife for a while now but was hesitant due to the price. I finally pulled the trigger and couldn’t be more happy that I did. I caught a ton of crappie with some buddies the last two days and my Bubba shined at the filet table. It filleted over 60 crappie over two days and the battery still had 3 bars left. It took me a couple of fish to get acclimated to the knife but after that it was a breeze.

Warranty Knife Has Now Failed Also.

Shortley after buying this knife i was using it to fillet some perch when a brass washer shoot out of the knife and onto the counter and the knife started to run very rough and got hot. Bubba sent me a warranty replacement that I have been using until yesterday the exact same thing happened again. This time i found the second half of the washer in the case. Again, i am without a knife!!

Good Mecanism Crummy Blades

I bought this knife late summer, although I have not used it much the blades seem already worn out!! Caught some Bluecat to day the knife was pretty much worthless. ended up finishing the job with a regular filet knife! {No Power} I am almost 70 on a fixed income, can you please help me explain why a cordless fillet knife I paid a LOT of money for is pretty much worthless! My friend I was Fishing with today has been wanting to get a Bubba cordless. Not now!!!

Cordless Knife Is Great

Haven't got around to filleting fish yet but slicing my Tri-Tip roast was a breeze. Easy to use and easy to clean. Was skeptical after reading some of the reviews but I love it. Going to come in handy around the kitchen.

Disappointed

I was given this electric filet knife for Christmas 2 years ago but it didn’t see much use until this past summer. It has worked great until yesterday when the blades would stop and would hear a grinding sound as if gears were not meshing together correctly. We do not use this but for quick catfishing trips every now and then. Love the design and the knife itself. Was not so happy about the life of the product.

Great Product, Terrific Company

I was gifted this knife for Christmas a couple years back. This knife will cut through anything like butter. Large scaled fish such as reds are typically frustrating to clean - No More!! Unfortunately our property flooded bad during Hurricane Ian a couple years ago. My bubba knife was ruined during that flood. I emailed bubba support to explain what happened and had a new knife a few days later in the mail! I do not think that was covered under warranty but they sent a new one anyway. I am a customer for life now! Cannot recommend this product and this company enough!
