Rated 5 out of 5 by from THE butchering knife in my house!! We have been using this knife for more than 25 years for butchering. We have the smaller version used in the field hunting. Absolutely amazing performance. Looks identical as the day it was purchased. Will never buy any other knife....that is if I ever need to replace it!! You get what you pay for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifetime Reward In my lifetime I have owned and desired many things in my 73 years. But the Buck 119 knife is one of my prized possessions that I owned. Craftsmanship beauty, and love of workmanship, all in one. This is a knife that you must owned and can past on to the next generations to cherish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Totally Awesome! I have several Buck knives and I have gifted them as well. The quality of a Buck knife is as certain as the sun rising in the East. I just received a 119 75th Anniversary Edition in gold. Not only is this a beautifully crafted Buck knife, it's a work of art! I'm so proud of the Buck craftsmen that continue to impress me with their skills. My new 119's handle is smooth as a baby's butt. The blade is so sharp that I warn those who are about to inspect it. The weight of the knife is substantial. Beautiful wood handle grips you back and provides the type of control necessary for all applications. If this knife was a car, it would be a Ferrari. Thank you Buck Knives.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from poor quality sheath The 119 is an all around excellent knife. Versatility, edge retention, weight and balance. everything a camping knife needs. HOWEVER, with a high quality knife, in my opinion, should come a quality sheath!!! I have a 119 from 30+ years ago. I just bought one for my nephew. Same exact knife except the sheath was very flimsy in comparison to mine. My nephew will not know the difference by comparison, but I do, and it makes me wonder how long his will last. I can guarantee it will not last nearly as long a mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best knife I've ever owned! I found this knife in my house when I moved in almost 4 years ago and none of my new roommates claimed it, so it's been mine ever since! I almost never leave the house without it, and I NEVER go on a trip without it. I've taken it backpacking all over the western US and in Australia and it hasn't failed me yet. Mostly I end up just trimming hang-nails with it, but I've done everything from digging cat-holes to chopping wood to cutting water melons to spreading cream cheese to examining deer carcasses on the trail. I've made kindling, cut guy-lines, and fended off mountain lions with this knife. It's the perfect weight and length for a true adventure knife, and it's sturdy as hell! I fully expect this knife to last the rest of my life, but if it doesn't (who knows, maybe a tank will run over it one day...) I'll surely replace it with another 119 x!
