Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp knife - first for my 11 year old. Very sharp but better, imo, because the release button to close it is easy to press for a "youngster". I believe sharp knives, in general, are safer anyway. but that's another discussion. great knife. Blade looks slightly worn or used.. but that's a feature, in my opinion. It's sharp, stayed sharp, so far, and was used on food and equipment. Recommended for EDC or first for a responsible kid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value and Performance The Dick's store near me had these on sale around Christmas for $13.99 and I picked one up. I have always been a big Buck knife fan and own a lot of their knives. Usually buy 1 or 2 a year. Did not expect to love this knife as much as I have but after a few months of use I find very few things to complain about. It's made in the USA, has 420HC steel, has a perfect blade length for small and medium tasks, sharpens up real quick on a stone, it’s lightweight but balances nicely, easy to clip to your pocket and easy to deploy. I have paid nearly 5x times as much for knives that may look nicer but I rarely carry. The Bantam is a working man’s knife. Won’t hurt your wallet and it’s functional. Been carrying it as part of my EDC rotation and best $13.99 I’ve spent in a long time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect knife for everyday carry I bought this knife to replace my previous Buck Bantam. This updated version has all the same qualities as my older one, but with a more comfortable handle. Also, it is made in the U.S.A. Bought one to carry, for the tool box, and one for the emergency kit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good value Good size for a picnic knife. Light weight, relatively thin if carrying in your pocket. Blade is sharp, handle is fairly comfortable to hold.. My only objection is that the blade is much heavier than the handle so it feels unbalanced when the blade is unfolded (compared to the Buck knife I lost).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT CARRY KNIFE I had been looking for a folding knife with a 3" blade that wasn't too heavy for everyday carry in a side pocket. At just 2.4 oz I FOUND IT !!! This knife is perfect with a very sharp blade and a good feel to the grip. Also like the de-locking mechanism. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice knife Needs sharpened but after that it's nice. Made in the USA!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from simple solid everyday folder Solid lightweight knife. No bells and whistles such as assisted opening or fancy locking mechanism necessary. It feels quit comfortable in hand, with very little lateral blade movement, if any.
