Rated 5 out of 5 by from King of folding knives I started buying knives for collection as I was always fascinated by the nice shiny blades. I started buying cheap knives and even though I do not hike or camp I felt I should own a classic hunting knife. Also, I am a fan of brass work. I got my first 110 yesterday and I am in love with this knife. Brand new it had the heavy brass with a mirror finish. The lock was a little harder but I wont send it back for just that! While I was purchasing the knife I compared several of the same 110 and picked up the darkest wood grain. I loved the contrast and the quality of this knife. All my other knives hail to this king of folding knives...!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Getting better with time In 1985 I PCS'd from the Army back to the states. When I returned, I discovered the movers must have need my 110 more than I did. I bought several Buck knives over the years, but for some unknown reason I didn't get another 110. Maybe it was because I thought by miracles of miracles I'd find it? I never did. The other week, I saw a 110 and purchased it. I truly think the knife got better over the years! It's smoother, appears to be of even better quality and SHARP! Especially after I touched it up on what were my grandfather's whetstones. Good job BUCK! You're still making a quality (and in my opinion better!) knife and the mind blowing part it it's about the same price as it was in 1983 when I bought my first one! How can you beat that?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Knife Made in the USA Probably the greatest American made folding knife. I bought my 110 on sale at Dick's and couldn't be happier with my purchase. What more could you ask for? Good heat treated steel, real brass bolsters and liners, wood scales, and made in the USA. This knife comes sharp out of the box. The lock back mechanism locks it tightly and you will hear a snap when it does. Don't even try to open or close one handed or you might cut a finger off. This knife was designed for two handed opening and also made to be carried in a sheath, not in your pocket. It's a man's knife. Perfect for hunting, fishing, and working in the field.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from life long friend i have had a 110 most of my life my dad gave me one when i was 8 but wouldn't let me have it until i could close the lock, i did that when i was 11. it was kept in his dresser drawer until boy scouts on Wednesday's until i was 13 then i was allowed to keep it in my room all the time, growing up in phoenix i wore it everywhere except school, i got a new one when i joined the navy, and another when i got married. i have been giving them away just about as often as i get them to friends and family. the last one i had i traded my brother in law for a western same style with antler scales. the newest one i bought at the local pawn shop and i found out tonight it was ordered from buck as it has no date mark on it its a little stiff to open and close but that'll go away with use and a drop of oil i have had one on my side daily for the last 42 years and the only other knife that i would consider wearing is an older schrade lb7. i see what people do to their buck grooving the handle or changing the scales but i like it just the way it is and always have. don't change a thing but if you decide to, just get rid of the nylon sheath and keep it leather

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great knife and warrenty service. When I first got the knife, it had a couple of problems. The blade would not seat back into the handle far enough and the lock release lever was hard to depress. I sent the knife back to Buck and they sent me a replacement. The new knife blade seated back into the handle nicely and the lock release was easier to depress. The knife feels great in my hand and it is very sharp.
