Rated 5 out of 5 by from Get one or two or three My Dad bought a 110 in 1970, by 1975 it was mine; he preferred a fixed blade 119. I still have this 110 and have carried it on countless camping, hiking and hunting outings. Skinned skitters, prepped food and cut all kinds of stuff in camp. This knife does everything very well. It is not my first choice for skinning a whitetail or prepping fish. On the belt, you can go from the woods to town with good looking sheath or the stares that you would get with some tacti-cool blade. My Dad gave me two other Bucks in the 1970's, 301 & 501. They are all well and hard used and still hold a great edge. I have newer Bucks for specific tasks, but I love my old ones.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from King of folding knives I started buying knives for collection as I was always fascinated by the nice shiny blades. I started buying cheap knives and even though I do not hike or camp I felt I should own a classic hunting knife. Also, I am a fan of brass work. I got my first 110 yesterday and I am in love with this knife. Brand new it had the heavy brass with a mirror finish. The lock was a little harder but I wont send it back for just that! While I was purchasing the knife I compared several of the same 110 and picked up the darkest wood grain. I loved the contrast and the quality of this knife. All my other knives hail to this king of folding knives...!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great blade I use this knife for camping and hiking. The blades length is satisfactory for my needs and is under the legal limit in my state. Works great for 98% of my needs. Whittling, carving, food prep, dressing game, cleaning fish, cutting rope or rubber hose. The sheath isn't that great. My shirt tale or my coat constantly catches on the flap and unsnaps it. In a public setting this is kind of embarassing and exposes my knife to onlookers. In the field, I'm afraid of losing it somewhere. I wish I could carry it scout style on my belt. It would be neat to have a sheath that it locks into. The knife is tried and true. A classic for sure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my custom 110 I ordered a 110 with cherry wood, S30V steel with a drop point blade and brown leather sheet. They put a lot more attention to details than the regular 30-40 dollar 110. The regular buck has always scratches on the brass off of the box. On this one the brass was immaculate. The brown leather sheet has proudly made in the USA in printed in the back. The craftsmanship is great to me and it is sharp as a razor. It is a very beautiful knife to look at it but that I intent to use for sure. I love it and I would do another custom buck. I love all of my four 110. Thank you! I rate this knife 5+

Rated 5 out of 5 by from American Beauty Just got my first Buck 110 in the mail today. I've worked in law enforcement for seven years now and slowly teach my boys about all my tools. Opened it in front of the kiddos (5 and 2) both were excited as me. I can't wait to start putting some soul into this great piece of craftsmanship. I don't know where to start. The brass is flawless. The wood inlays are perfect and comfortable. The blade movement is so firm and sure of itself. You know it's secure when you hear and feel that click. And the edge, let me tell you, razor sharp. Thank you Buck. Keep up the great work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing is better. When I was 15 Yrs I biked to the nearest sporting goods store and bought my first buck 110 . I saved hard for that knife. That was 35 years ago. I had that knife for twenty years and had it serviced once in that time by Buck at at no charge. I have since added a few other Buck 110's. Theres one in my hiking bag, my dresser, my car. Theres just something dependable about the solid feel in the hand of a 110. I get attached to my gear and this is a knife that I will always have. Its hard to find high quality gear today, but I know I can always count on my Buck knife... So Thank you from a Loyal Customer. They say Change is good.. well somethings are so good they don't need to change..Thats the 110.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love the knife but have some issues with quality control I have two of these knives now and both, upon arrival, had some issues that I think could have been resolved if they had been properly inspected before being sent out of the factory. The first 110 had two issues. There was a gap along the back between the frame and the lock (still not sure if this will cause any problems in the future) and the second was the blade's edge, which was covered in burs. Now, there is no such thing as a less-than-perfect edge in my house so that was really disappointing. The second 110 I got had a terrible edge that took quite a bit to clean up. Overall, these are good knives, but the quality control is less-than ideal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing timeless heirloom. I bought my first 110 when I was a teenage boy scout. I carried it to eagle and beyond. Lost that one in a burglary and purchased another. Gave that one too my son. Bought two more, one for me and one for my new soon in law. Finally found the mythical unicorn.... A new old stock Wirtz 110. Didn't care about price this time. It is my birthday present from my wife. When I was saving for my first 110 a man at the gas station had one and would bet people he could cut through a 16P mail with it. Out would come the ball peen hammer and it worked every time. He made some money at $5 per bet (1968 dollars) and probably convinced a lot of folks to buy one. I bet not one of them regretted it. I certainly Haven't!
