Makes Trail Maintenance Easier
I bought this to help me transport chain saw and related tools while working on local mountain bike and hiking trails. In the past five months I’ve used it more times than I can count. Here are some things I noticed; Easy to connect. Balance is very sensitive when parked while loaded and connected to the bike. Trying to backup to turn is like doing it with a small trailer behind your vehicle. Easy to jackknife the Burley on tight single-track. Sometimes easier to pickup the Burley and manhandle it into position. With 25 pounds of chainsaw and related wedges fuel, etc my bike definitely handles different till I get used to it. Tools ride securely with bungee net that’s included with the Burley. Exposed anodized aluminum frame scrapes easily if metal tool is in contact while riding. I covered exposed aluminum frame with either old rubber inner tubes or heat sensitive plastic as protection. The cords that hold the safety pins break or wear easily. I replaced the cord with parachute cords which are stronger. The Burley trailer and the necessary thru axle are not cheap. However, they make it easier for me to conduct trail maintenance in Florida. I’d recommend to others.

I Guess So
I'm a volunteer for our local trail network and land steward, so this is a functioning piece of equipment for me. I'm currently saving for the dry bag. One step at a time. Good stuff isn't cheap. I would say that I'm not stoked on having the extra wheel laying around when the fat tire upgrade came. I would have preferred to purchase that with the original sale

Seasoned Trailer Person
I have the BOB trailer and it works for old axles. I was really bummed that I could not hook this trailer up before a C&O trip that I purchased it for. Axles come in a wack variety and made this purchase difficult and expensive (Burley axles are not cheap). The Axle project in conjunction with Burley may have fixed the problem. I have not tried to fit the second axle purchased. It seems like an otherwise cool trailer. Not sure if suspension is needed (never needed it with BOB) and it probably makes this trailer quite heavy.

Product is well made and shipped fast. I have the Coho XC Trailer and boy am i happy with it! Absolutely solid and well made. I also purchased the beefier 16+ wheel kit that made the combination even better!!!

Udh Thru Axle.
I was pleased that Burley finally made a thru axle for mountain bikes with the universal derailleur hanger (UDH). Now I can take my Coho trailer with me when I do trail maintenance on our local trail. This setup allows me to take tools miles in from the trailhead. Thanks!

Once In Place, The Thru
Once in place, the thru axle works great on both of my eBikes. The surface has ridges/rings in the finish. This makes it a little difficult to slide it in place on the bike. Machining a finer and smother finish on the axle will make it much easier to install.
