Poor Mat Construction
As the packaging tape was removed from the ends of the mat, it started removing a layer of the mat material. So, either the mat is poorly made, or the packing tape is too strong. Either way, the mat is being returned. I cannot speak to the performance of the mat.

It's A Great Mat, But Maybe Pick It Up...
My mat arrived yesterday and I used it last night - I love it. It's cushiony-y without impeding your balance. What I WILL say is this - pick it up in store if you can! It arrived in this ginormous box with little packing: the mat sat at an angle in the box and alot of the edges were all bent and crunched up. It's relaxing right now with books along all of the edges to straighten them out. A little bit of a pain!
