Getting To Play Them On Hold!
I can’t give a fair assessment of my new ai150’s right now! I had a total knee replacement done and my new irons showed up 4 days after surgery! I was hoping to get them sooner so I could at least play a couple rounds with them! The design, fit and finish look great! I can’t wait to try them out in a few weeks I’m hoping?

Ai150’s - Great Clubs But Poor Workmanship
Torn here…bought these after doing and upgrade from my Apex 21’s which I absolutely loved. Took advantage of the double trade in offer. I can honestly say the 7-4 iron are the best feeling irons I’ve ever hit. The face technology is amazing as the ball comes off hot…in a good way, like a bullet. I’ve easily gained 5-10 yards. The 8-PW however don’t feel like anything special and I’m struggling to get the same distances I had before. Lofts are slightly different but not by much. Which brings me gd me to my major complaint w Callaway. I had been fitted by a professional who had me order standard lofts w a 2° upright lie. I noticed right away a minor drop in distance w the 8 iron especially. I took the to my fitter and had them check the lofts/lies. Sure enough the 8 iron loft was off by 3°. Most of the clubs were off by a degree or so and almost NONE of them were set to 2° upright. My fitter was happy to adjust them free of charge but sit still has left a very sour sentiment in regards to Callaway quality control. I didn’t even mention yet that when I received the set, the original 7-iron had a very visible ding in the face. They replaced but still should have been caught before shipping out.

Callaway Ai 150 Irons
These irons look and feel great. By far, Callaway has struck gold with this model. I would highly recommend this club to mid to low handicap golfers.

Great Iron For The Lower Handicap Golfer
Great irons that can be worked side to side and up and down. Not as forgiving as my old Apex CB’s but longer and more please to look at standing over a shot. The Hazardous shafts are great as well, glad I had those choice. Probably wouldn’t recommend for someone above a 10 handicap.

Love Them
I couldn’t get good distance control with my TM P790s. The 150’s intrigued me because they were built off the TCB head, and engineered for some forgiveness—not maximum forgiveness. KBS $-taper were a free upgrade. Grip upgrade prices were expensive for MCC +4, so I tried out the super stroke cord. I re-gripped them after my first round. If I were petty, I would go less stars because there are few stock grip offerings. But I love these 150’s too much. The sole’s leading edge relief plays a lot like the Vokey k-star grind that I love. Turf interaction is awesome which leads to more confidence taking a divot, which has reduced my thin hits. Shots a little off the heel and toe on the 150’s still end up really good. Distance control is as expected. I’m hitting them a little shorter, but it’s worth it for distance control, and I don’t need to play a 52*. I go 5-Aw, 55*, 59*. I wish I would’ve ordered the 4 iron too but Callaway just released a new utility iron which I’ll definitely test next demo day on the range.
