Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid players iron I ordered these after problems with my Apex Combo set and they arrived with a mistake with the grips, which Callaway jumped to make right. I'm happy with the look, sound, and feel of the irons and the distance help is very similar to the standard Apex. After one practice session on our sandy practice tee, the copper plate is already showing through the chrome....after 20 shots! They offered to replace the 7-iron but I passed. In spite of the problems, I'm happy with the performance of the clubs. We'll see how it goes whether I should have stuck with the Apex Combo set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding set of irons. The best “players set” I’ve every played and I’ve played them all! I’ve been playing these irons for 6 months and just love them. The long mid irons have a high but penetrating flight and the feel is fantastic. The size is perfect. Not too big and clunky or too small and intimidating. The look is very premium. I’m consistently shooting in the 70’s with these and they go a few yards (1/2 club) farther than your average set of players clubs and stop quickly on the green. I’m adding the Epic Forged long iron to the set. Maybe the 5 iron that I’ll play as a 4 iron, based on lofts and what I’ve read. Callaway has really started to separate themselves as a product leader.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very expensive clubs and poor quality control I am a 1-handicap player to begin. I ordered these clubs from Callaway. Beautiful club and look but that’s the only positive I could find. In reviewing the specs, it was stated that the swingweight was D2 for standard length. When I received the clubs I immediately checked them on my Mitchell tour scale and found them to be D0, far from the SW in the stated specs. I also used my apex pro16s to compare so I’m sure that they were never checked at the assembly center. How does a pro or single digit handicap play a club with D0, they can’t! Once I got them lead taped up to D2, I took them to the course. I have played 10 rounds now and am going to go back to my Apex pro 16s which are a far better club. The 19’s have a longer flat flange on the bottom compared with the Apex pro 16, they simply don’t go through the turf as smoothly. Oddly, I have given up distance club for club compared with my Apex pro 16, exact same shaft and specs. Very strange given that they are supposed to be hot according to the marketing hype that says they have a 360 cup face. Overall, very disappointed with this purchase, poor service quality on the build and poor playability at a very high price. Shame that I have to revert back to my Apex Pro 16s after wasting my time and money on these irons.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from would never buy the smoke finish showed marks after a couple rounds pros -the irons them self I love my yardage are very consistent the lofts are more traditional love the feel you can work the ball . I was playing the tailormade 790 cons I went for the smoke finish look they look beautiful when you first put them in your bag take a picture because that will be the last time they look nice after only a few rounds they are scratch up you can see on my 7 iron the finish is already damage. I have not been to a range and the course I play was a sod farm so the soil is soft callaway should disclose that this finish is a coating and that the color is not through the metal it cost 200.00 more for the set so you think your getting a better quality

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just Beautiful I have been golfing since I was 6, now 32. Currently a 9 handicap with a 100+ mph swing speed. I got fitted for these with the DG x100 tour issue shafts set at 1° upright. I've only played 1 round but even my mishits we're more on point and went farther than some of my solid shots with my old irons. I was playing Mizuno MP 30 with a rifle 6.0 shaft. So nothing bad to say there, but I can definitely say I have never hit those irons as crisp as these. First round went 43/38 and only got better as the round went on. I can't wait for this golf season to get into full "swing" and trend down towards a 5 handicap. Thank you Callaway!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not a Mizuno - but a good club Like the feel; dislike the round toe design - reminds me of a 50 year old Hogan club Size is good, soft leading edge forbids much bite on shorter shots ... Probably would not buy again ... but an Ok ... not great ... set of irons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent irons The Apex Pro 19 irons have solid feel and offer good feedback. I previously played the Apex X-Forged 18 irons. The Apex Pro has a touch more forgiveness and deeper feel. Both are excellent irons.
