Product Information:

The product of rigorous testing and Tour validation, Callaway Mack Daddy 4 Wedges set a new performance standard. 21 bounce/sole grind combinations, including the new X-Grind, provide unlimited custom fitting potential. Proprietary Groove-In-Groove Technology combines with Micro-Positive Surface Roughness to create unparalleled short game control. Loft-optimized weighting and a soft 8620 Carbon Steel construction enable uniquely satisfying feel.

  • Mack Daddy 4 Wedges are available in 4 grind options, each with generous camber from heel to toe for smooth turf interaction and soft feel
  • C-Grind: Increased relief, especially at the heel, making it easier to play shots with the face open. Ideal for medium to shallow attack angles and/or firm course conditions. (8° Bounce)
  • S-Grind: Medium-width sole with slight camber at the back and moderate heel relief to keep the leading edge low through impact, promoting solid contact on open-faced shots. (10° Bounce)
  • W-Grind: Sole is wider at the center and toe, and narrower at the heel, with moderate heel relief and generous front-to-back camber. That prevents digging without increasing bounce, and keeps the leading edge close to the turf at impact. Great for open-faced shots and more versatile than the previous W-Grind. (12° Bounce)
  • X-Grind: The newest Callaway grind features a narrow, high-bounce crescent sole with the low point near the front. Excellent for moderate to steep attack angles and medium-to-soft course conditions (12° Bounce)

  • Most vigorously tested and Tour-validated wedge Callaway has ever offered
  • Developed by Roger Cleveland and Callaway R&D, with heavy influence by Tour-pro input
  • More compact shape, straighter leading edge, tighter leading edge radius and more offset compared to MD3
  • Tour refined shapes, soles, grinds and camber make it easier to create clean contact on tight lies for control
  • 21 different loft/bounce options represent the most ever in a Callaway wedge line and allow for Tour-like fitting
  • Proprietary Groove-In-Groove Technology are saw-cut and horizontally milled to precise tolerances for spin
    • Lower-lofted wedges (52° and below) feature a 20D groove for more consistent spin on fuller shots
    • Higher-lofted wedges (54° and up) feature an aggressive 5D groove for maximum control out of rough and around green
    • Each 16-groove configuration features Callaway’s extra “Nip It” groove near the leading edge for added spin control
  • Micro-Positive Surface Roughness milled into the flat parts of the face enable increased spin on a variety of shots

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wedges are great! The product is a great product, but Dick's service really sealed the deal. Bob Freed at the Wheaton, MD store could not have been ore helpful in accommodating my needs. He did an excellent job of fitting the clubs for me, but more importantly was a joy to work with!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great wedge! I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a new club or clubs to go to a local demo days to try out any clubs you are interested in. Also, a little more expensive, but a club fitting session is a great way to try clubs, shafts, lie angles, etc. to help your game. I tried the mac daddy 4 wedge at a local demo days and loved the way it felt and performed on the range. Thank you for a great quality product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beatiful club with equally impressive performance for full and partial shots My first time using Callaway wedges - was very impressed with the consistent performance and ability to stop the ball on a dime! Will definitely add Callaway wedges to my future shopping lists.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Wedge!!! Wanted a wedge for 100 yd. shots, so I bought this and bent it to a 43 degree. Need to make a 42 and 44 degree wedge, and do it before any other company. LEAD THE FIELD!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best wedges ever I purchased the Mac Daddy 64 degree wedge S grind with 10 degree bounce and fell in love. Easiest wedge I’ve ever hit. Also purchased the 60 degree a week later to replace my Mizuno 60 wedge. The weight and feel of the two wedges were so different I needed to match the 64. The 115gram shaft is perfect for these clubs as well. The clubs design allows a sweet high shot or lower one that stops on a dime. . Thank you Roger and Phil!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Love my new wedges!! Played the MD3 wedges and decided it was time for an upgrade. Ordering process was easy and the wedges arrived sooner then expected. $150 for a wedge is a bit much but what choice is there anymore? Took me a few practice sessions to get used to the new wedges, not sure why, I had them built to the exact same specs at my previous MD3 wedges. Who knows but now that I have got the hang of using them I am a happy camper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MD 56 W Grind UST Recoil 460 Graphite This wedge is perfect! Hit off range grass with sand below and it came out super smooth. W grind is perfect for the 56 and excellent out of sand with12 degee bounc. Really this replaces my Vokey and is lighter and overall much better club. I hi it 100 yds and just a sweet wedge. My 60 is shipping today. Kudos Callaway. Black finish is great.jz

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best wedge I have played Have been playing Cleveland wedges. Switched to CG15 from 588 because of new grooves. Enticed to upgrade to RTX-3 because of good experience of DSC grind wedges. Never got comfortable with RTX-3s. Tried different loft, bounce and shaft options. Got interested in MD4 wedges because of positive reviews from numerous sources. From my experience positive reviews are accurate. Have now traded in all RTX-3 wedges for MD4s. C grind plays great on firm Dallas area courses. Now believe the MD4 C grind is the best wedge I have played. It gives me the option to play the shot that is called for in the situation. My wedge play is based on visualizing the shot needed and a feel for how to execute it. I'm not too mechanical, but have gotten my distances using the Pelz clock system. The distance control of the MD4 wedges has been remarkable. I am not a high spin player so the spin of the MD4 wedges has been fine for me. With the C grind, I can vary the trajectory as needed. Admire Callaway's innovation in using the DG 115 Tour issue shaft. I like the lighter shaft. I agree with the one reviewer that said the chrome head looks larger than the Matt Black head sitting behind the ball. I have tried both finishes and prefer the Matt Black. The smaller appearance of the head seems to help me be more precise in my ball striking. It also is less reflective on sunny days.
