Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth It Love, love, love this water bottle. I, personally, have never experienced any of the issues that some of the other users have with the cap. No signs of mold, no tinge, nothing, and, I've had this water bottle for about a year now. I love the pliability of it, and the added feature of locking the top so no water can escape is excellent and very useful. This water bottle comes with me to soccer, volleyball, on runs, and on road trips. It's been kicked and thrown around, and yet still looks the same as the day I bought it, and works the same too. It's a very durable, comfortable water bottle, and I highly recommend it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tips for Cleaning Cap to Keep Up this Great Bottle I use this water bottle for cycling. It keeps ice-water cool on 70F 2Hr rides, which is what I like most about it, plus the ergonomic feel (for righties at least), and the force with which it sprays—I can get a good gulp quickly with minimal effort—make it a great cycling water bottle. I just cleaned out the cap after using it for a year (yes it was gross). As others have complained, it does develop mold fairly easily and the cap can be tough to clean. But it is not all that difficult to do (the description says "easy to remove nozzle" though I would say that it takes some ingenuity and a bit of effort), and, in my opinion, it's worth doing every so often in order to enjoy the rest that this water bottle has to offer. Here's how to clean the cap: (1) get an old toothbrush; (2) disassemble the lid by removing silocon nozzle from the twistpiece and then pushing the tube out from inside the nozzle. Now you can clean all three components (lid, silicon cap, interior nozzle) with the toothbrush and dishsoap. I usually clean out the bottom of the bottle with a soapy bit of paper towel on the end of a chopstick.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I didn't use this on a bike at all, but I did stick it into a backpack with some electronics, and assuming you've screwed the lid on decently, the locking mechanism on the top of the bottle works REALLY well. Like there is no way liquid can get out of that bottle, if you have it locked in the 'closed' position. Once I 'unlocked' to lid top, it was real easy to squirt water out of the opening without a problem. The nose closes up after you stop squeezing the bottle, so it makes it tough to spill anything. As for being insulated, while better than a standard nalgene, definitely fill this with ice if you want things to stay cool for maybe 3hrs in sunny conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use Just tip it and squeeze, no stoppers to pop, or caps to fall off, doesn't spill. We use these on our bikes, in the car, at the beach and to keep hydrated during sports practice and games. The insulation keeps it cold longer than most water bottles. It can still be locked shut so even a squeeze won't let the water out. Big enough to hold a decent amount of water, yet not so large as to be in the way or too heavy. We've gotten them for the grandchildren old enough to participate in sports, and even the toddlers can drink from them, although they put their mouths on it a suck it out, but it works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best travel/sports bottle ever I have been using the camel bak podium chill bottles for over a year now and they are simply amazing!! Will they keep your drink ice cold all day...No.. but they are the most indestructible, easiest to clean, best drink design and build quality hands down bar none!! If you're looking for a bottle to keep your drink on ice for 24 hours keep looking however if you're looking for an easy to drink from, indestructible, keep your drink chilled bottle..THIS IS THE ONLY ONE!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Jet valve ineffective I bought this bottle for the ease of squeezing it while riding. It's the easiest to use and I loved it until I cleaned it. It tends to get gross build up which takes some work to disassemble. After the first clean the jet valve stopped working and the bottle's content spills out quickly. Poor, misleading design. I'm bummed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good water bottle ProsEasy squeeze gets a nice stream of water. One way valve works well.A slight turn locks out the squeeze function so an accidental squeeze doesn't cause a leak.No plastic or foul taste of any kind.Keeps water colder a little longer than non-insulated water bottles.ConsThe one way valve requires some disassembly to thoroughly clean. No real way to keep dirt or debris out of the valve.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Improved design makes this bottle better I've had 2 of these CamelBak Podium Chill bottles over the last 3-4 years. What I have always liked about them is that they are insulated so they stay cold even in the dead of summer where no other bottle can stay cold for that long. I typically use them cycling and I happen to have run over it while riding one day so I replaced it with a new model as posted on here. The things they have improved for the better are: the jet nozzle is bigger so you can get more water out at a time, and the biggest improvement is you can actually take the jet nozzle off and clean it (this was a huge issue with the old one as nasty mold would get trapped inside and there was no way to take it off and clean, pretty disgusting). A couple bad things I can see possibly happening to the new one that I've seen from the old one, after a while the bottle didn't seal as well when tight is it leaked at times, I have no idea if this was fixed and haven't had the issue yet but it only formed for me after having the bottle for a year with the old one. Sometimes when the nozzle is on shutoff mode it will make a noise like air is trying to escape and can be pretty annoying, a minor complaint but just something that I've learned to deal with. This really isn't a bad bottle for the money, bpa-free, nice nozzle and the camelbak company makes great products.
