Rated 1 out of 5 by from Slipping straps I bought this four days ago and i'm - so unhappy. I fill the reservoar, take some food, fit (coustomize) bag to my body. And set out on small (40km) trip. Troubles start early. The (both - flexible and upper) straps on the front chest - releases. I readjust it, but releases again. And again. Ok, i fix it by knot. Its not ideal. Then start slipping remaining - side straps (on hip). While running, their requiring constant readjustment. The straps slipping and slipping and slipping. Every 5 minutes must be readjustet. Its horrible! Pockets and rest of bag is fine. Product cant be recomended. Maybe for walk :( Its fail. -- And - is some way to fix this problem? Any guide? Else i must return bag to vendor.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too many trade-offs to save a few grams! I had a high expectations in this new ultra vest by Camelbak! I own and use the previous Ultra 10 model (electric blue and yellow) regularly for my training and ultra races. The new Ultra 10 definitely has some improvements compared to the previous model: - organization is top notch: I love the different mesh and zip pockets they have added - the phone pocket has is bigger and easier to open - the zip pulls are easier to find and use - the front harness water bottle pockets are deeper - It is lighter than the previous one - it offers improved breathability compared to the prevoous model I have to be honest: there is quite a few things they did get right with this pack. Unfortunately, the drive to reduce weight - and probably cost - in my opinion has resulted into excessive compromise and flaws were introduced compared to the previous version! The negative: - The chest and side straps do not stay in place and the pack needs to be constantly readjusted: it becomes extremely annoying, much more so considering it is a running pack that is supposed to be used for ultra distanaces. - Adjustability has been considerably reduced compared to the previous version: it will fit some but not others! - The back panel is not as comfortable as the previous model: less padding. - The shoulder straps are not as comfortable as the previous model: it can be fine for shorter training runs but in an ultra where mandatory gear brings up the weight or need to carry a full reservoir, it becomes uncomfortable - The reservoir can be removed and inserted only sideways: it's fairly quick but personally preferred the previous model; - There is no way to sinch or keep the gear in the pack from moving around. The mesh pockets inside the pack can help for some smaller item but you can feel stuff bouncing around if not full - The back design is awkward as it's deep and narrow: making it slightly wider and longer and less deep would have made the pack hug your back more closely and bounce around less - The pole attachment system is very basic to say the least: on the previous model it wasn't good either and they haven't improved on it. You are supposed to stick foldanble poles into your left pocket and secure both poles using an elastic loop at the top. It works but creates an imbalance and the poles move around too in the side pocket. - Mesh material is the thinnest I have seen: sure it reduces the weight by a few grams but also means it's way less durable. I would use this pack only if it fits your body type fine and you don't need to carry much gear. It could be a good pack for warm weather training or ultra running where you don't need to carry heavier extra layer or gear. If you don't have minimalist gear, I wouldn't use for the UTMB as it would be too unfortable or even too small to fit everything! The fact that you have to costantly readjust the chest and side straps is a major oversight in design. Too much focus on saving weight at the expense of comfort and important feature such as compressing the pack and adjustability!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Legit the worst thing ever Look up the 2016 models people are reselling them for 100 more than they were bought for these are garbage the mesh will fall apart if your running through the woods honestly just bring the 2016 back with a larger front pocket that will fit plus size phones the durability was 1000% better on the old one the new one has NO adjustability with front staps AGAIN BIG downgrad

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Straps constantly come loose! This pack would be awesome except for the straps constantly needing to be tightened. Wore it for a ten mile run and had to re-tighten/cinch the straps every two minutes. By the end of an hour+ run this became extremely annoying. The rest of the pack is great but nothing could possibly make up for what the straps are lacking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Light weight & comfortable I love this vest mostly because it is so comfortable. Lots of pockets and storage space which is great for me during my long distance paddles. And it has a whistle which is required for competition. The only thing a miss is a holder for the water tube, I like to have the mouth piece close to my mouth so I don't miss a stroke. I'll be able to rig something up. Also, the chest & side strap are going to get stretch out because there is not much to them, but I really don't need them so it might not be a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Camelbak model ever. One huge 2-liter hydration bag. Over ten pockets. Lightweight technology. Two big pockets on the front straps. Best practical backpack. Ever.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Too big The front side pocket are great, but overall the vest is too big. The rear pocket must be reduced to reduce the size of the vest.
