1 Year Review.

I got this with the add-on griddle over a year ago for Father's Day. Have been using every part of it since! Whether I'm smoking a pork shoulder, quickly searing some steaks or doing smashburgers on the griddle, this thing has performed amazingly! Only thing I've ever had to deal with is a couple probes went out but that was a quick fix. Very happy with it so far.

Versatility Unmatched

Nothing like it on the market. Smoked a brisket to perfection one night and then hard seared ribeyes the next using propane. What other grill can you do that on? The app was annoying to set up at first but once you get it connected and calibrated it's a breeze... and it helped me keep an eye on my brisket from the golf course with one of the 4 included temp probes! Building the grill was pretty easy but you need 2 people or else it's going to be a bit tricky, side sear installation instructions were sort of vague / outdated but if you're semi good at figuring out stuff on your own its easy. Overall, you can't find a grill like this anywhere that truly gives you the best of both worlds.

Apex Review

My initial review is only 2 stars. The grill sits very low. A five gallon bucket does not sit flat under the pellet dispenser. The pull out on the pellet hopper and ash cleaner are very hard to work. I am still trying to get all the gas tubes to light properly. Cook times seem to be longer than normal. For the price I am not overly satisfied.

Great Product / Rough Delivery

Ordered this sight unseen after seeing a few independent reviewers describe a hybrid of a Traeger and Weber - which is exactly what I was looking for for my smaller city backyard. Once it's up and running in the backyard - the device works almost exactly how I imagined it - excellent performance from both the pellet smoker (broke it in with a 14-hr brisket smoke) and the propane grill (got it up to 750+ degrees without issue for burgers, chicken etc). The app is pretty solid as well - I controlled the temp on the brisket while at a movie theatre with my kids. It's also extremely well built (good news and bad news) - great thought has been put into the rear diffusers / probe storage / griddle etc.). The only downside is that it's incredibly heavy - and the delivery did not include anything other than curb side service according to my driver. He was nice enough to still try to help me get it all in - but that required us to break the boxes down outside and muscle it up the row of stairs to my place (took awhile and pulled a muscle during). The problem is that the whole primary grill is already welded together - so moving it was a 250-300 lb problem. We finally got it up there with minimal damage to the tanklike exterior - but it was really a painful part of the process. Building the grill is also a 2-man job - because there are points where you have to again lift that section. There should be a white-glove delivery and construction upsell in my opinion. But the grill itself - 5 dinners in - is everything I'd hoped it'd be. Great job on the most important part - Camp Chef.

Quality Stands Out

Have not yet had a chance to use it much yet, but from my experience assembling it, it is a very well built and high quality smoker.
