I have not used it camping yet, but I did test it out. It seems to be perfect for the galley of my teardrop trailer. It is bigger and more powerful than my old stove. The regulator connection is better placed and easier to connect. For many years I have used the large Camp Chef stoves for large groups. I am eager to use my Everest 2X for my wife and I and for the kids when they join us in camp.

BUYER BEWARE: I have purchased several Camp Chef products. Not really happy with this stove! It has little heat control. It is either a blast furnace or it's off. Called Camp Chef and they said it was designed for high altitude cooking requiring high heat. Nowhere in the description does it say that. If you are planning on using this at high, really high altitude, it might be good but not for my requirements at 4000 to 8000 ft. Camp Chef should make clear what it is designed for.

It really is well made, lights easily and cooks very well. Cleanup is not difficult.

The folding lid windscreen is a joke. Does not lock in place, just rests on top of the stove and falls over at the slightest breeze. Did camp chef not test this product?

Bought this stove and it works well but the knob QUICKLY fell off and was lost. Never been able to get a replacement part - always 'out of stock'. Poor product quality, poor support

This thing rocks, it's easy to use good build quality and it outs off the kind of heat that makes you giggle inside.

I have had this camping grill for seven years and it’s still lights first thing and I’ve never had a problem with it. I am most likely going to buy another grill just like this one just to have it at our house.

Yes I have had the Everest 2 for over a year now. No I have never paid this much for a camp stove. I thought it would be better quality than this. Problem- rust. The rust did not just start , it happened only after a few months of use . It is never exposed to the elements. I always use it under an awning. The grate, the hinges and the burners look terrible. It is very disappointing for the price I paid. The upside. . . I can put the smallest pot on the grate and it is secure. Burners and gas output work fine. I like the built in handle. Unless the quality of materials is improved I would not pay for another stove.

I purchased the Everest 2X based on feedback from other trip leaders in my non profit group. This stove works great for fast cooking for a group and our organization is using these stoves to replace Coleman stoves. The stove goes through propane faster than Coleman stoves however so bring plenty of fuel if cooking for a group in the field. Stove is easy to set up, light and sturdy in windy conditions. So far it is everything I could want in a camp stove, looking forward to using it on upcoming trips.

We have used this stove for years and it's awesome. The power it has boils water in a very short time and it's pretty quiet.

We’ve been happy either our Camp Chef up until the last few months. Our stove is just over a year old and the propane totally blows out the end of the arm. In reviews, the replacement arm won’t work unless you have a sealing ring. So far, I can’t find that certain part. This was the most expensive stove we’ve bought, so we’re pretty disappointed.

Bought this because couldn’t get any stove fuel for my 45 year old Coleman and was on day -1 before hurricane helene. Worked like a champ, easy to set up, burns clean. The bottle set up is a little weird, but overall love this stove. We worked it hard for 11 days straight.

A fine camp stove, quick lighting and powerful burners at 20,000 BTUs each. For comparison, the largest burner on a home gas stove is usually 20,000 BTUs. Folds up nicely and works flawlessly. A solid purchase.

Great control of heat, easy starts and love the clip-down windshields. We did go through a lot more propane than on our last stove with burners turned up way higher than needed.
