Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for camping I bought this unit 2 years ago for camping. Cooking in the travel trailer isn't nearly as fun as cooking outside. My previous trailer had an outside barbecue and I wanted to expand what I could cook outside. Is difficult to get level, however I bought the adjustable screw down legs and that problem was solved. I have a family of 5 and often camp with extended family. So being able to quickly cook a ton of food is a must. The burners are very powerful and quickly boil large pots of water. Almost too fast, the first time I used it, I wasn't sure what to expect and almost boiled off the water before the pasta was done cooking. I have the griddle and the barbecue accessories and cook exclusively on this when camping. The travel trailer stove has never been used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very reliable I own a catering business and I also cook at festivals. My first year I had 2 grills and they worked perfectly. My second year I wanted to upgrade my equipment to an 8 burner grill that cost four times the cost and I bought 2 of them. They drained my propane tanks dry and the flame kept going out. This year I now have four of the Camp Chef Explorers and I will not change grills again. I know that I can depend on them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Perfectly I bought this so I could pressure can on my patio. I used it last Sunday and ran two Presto 23 Quart pressure canners at the same time. It worked perfectly and did not have any problems. I highly recommend this outdoor stove.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch your eyebrows! I've had several other grills that take forever to get hot, and even then don't seem to stay there. This unit CRANKS. I would advise restraint until you are familiar with it, as I almost burnt the first couple of meals I cooked on it. Also, I love the flexibility to use a cast iron pan, Dutch oven, or huge pot for a clam bake. Very robust and well made, Camp chef just earned a customer for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An awesome stove! I bought this stove to replace the old "pump up" variety 9 years ago. I have used and abused it a great deal and it is still in like new condition. It is a great camp stove but I also use it at home for those house stinking recipes! It is nearly indestructible! The cast iron burners do not wear and the controls and knobs still work perfectly. I believe this is the last stove I ever had to buy. The stove breaks down to a very small size for transport, sets up easily and and is extrememly sturdy. It is a bit heavy but is well worth its weight. I would highly recommend this stove for any camper or outdoorsman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keep the heat out of the kitchen! I bought this so that I can cook or boil food items that either heat up my kitchen or stink up the house. Example, sautМ© green peppers and onions, boil corn on the cob, steam crabs or boil potatoes. I have also used a cast iron Dutch oven to roast a chicken with beautiful results. I have a gas grill that I use all the time but this camp stove gives more versatility. It can easily hold 2 large pots or pressure cookers- Can't wait to canning season to start! I have the stove on my concrete patio, which is slightly tilted to keep the water draining away from the house. Having the adjustable legs allowed me to level the stove perfectly. I am very pleased with my purchase. Now that I have it I have added the BBQ box on my wish list. :)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Instead of built-in burners I have been building an outdoor kitchen on my patio, and had been looking at stainless steel built-in side burners for the BBQ area. The way they permanently take up countertop real estate, in addition to their $500 + price tags, do not appeal to me. I thought I'd give this relatively inexpensive camp stove a try, worst case I'd have it for car camping and other uses. I am very satisfied that I did. We have used it all summer long while our indoor kitchen has been going through it's complete remodel. It sits on the countertop perfectly, or I can quickly put the legs on it for freestanding elsewhere, as it is installed with a quick connect gas hose. This camp stove is very heavy duty, and performs far better than the electric cooktop that we tore out inside the house. When the indoor kitchen is finished and we're done using this on a daily basis, it can easily be stored until needed again. As a trial, I connected it to natural gas before modifying the orifices. Plenty of heat for normal use, so I kept them that way to be able to go back to propane for remote use. We'll see how it performs when I need to boil a 5 gallon pot of water with the stock orifices and NG.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Stainless for outside cooking is a no Brainer Bought this and it works great. There are a few improvements I would recommend. In the outside where it is windy a surround on the sides and rear would help the burners from going out on low flame
