low setting is really low- not so on other grills. TOO HOT! Temps are even over surface of flat top. Easy grease handling, Ability to level grill. Comes with hood.

I bought this today and spent a few hours assembling it. To my utter dismay I found that the control knobs were not present. Apparently someone in the factory forgot to include them and now I'm stuck with a fully assembled and useless griddle. I've been looking forward to using this for weeks and now I can't. The worst part is I'm leaving in two days for work and I will be gone for a month. I even purchased a bunch of meat to grill. God only knows when I'll get to use this now. Do better please. Quality control is important.
Long honest review here and I want to start this review off with this is my very first full sized griddle. I have always just used the Camp Chef Sidekick Griddle on the Woodwind Smoker. Before buying I put in my time researching and looking at reviews and I am so happy I went with The Gridiron 36. This thing is sturdy, easy to use, and just looks badass. I am about 2 months in and keep saying I’m glad I stuck with Camp Chef equipment. First it arrived in perfect condition and was easy to put together. Everything about it is fantastic. The lid is awesome and love how it’s connected for easy on and off. The four burners and ignition is great and have not had a single issue. Extremely quiet when I turn it on. The shelves on the side are useful for everyday cooking and yes the one above the propane tank doesn’t fold down but that’s okay I don’t fold them down to begin with even with the cover. Grease management is a breeze and love that it’s in the front and easy access from underneath. I have the cover and griddle mat which I strongly suggest. IF you want some kind of critique or one thing I wish was different. I wish the line for the propane was not directly up front and in the rear, kind of hidden, but that’s purely cosmetic and does not affect a thing. I’m over it already. My buddies have a popular competitor griddle and it just looks small and not as well built as the Gridiron 36. Next up is buying some of the magnetic attachments. After every cook I think I verbally say to my wife I’m glad I chose Camp Chef again!

The griddle works great. I purchased it after seeing the review on The Flat Top King. I like the fact that when you turn it on low, the temperature stays low as opposed to other brands that just keep getting hotter the longer it goes. Very even heating all across the surface. Assembly was pretty straightforward and I had no problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy assembly, best I have assembled. All the screws and bolts are in individual numbered bags. Took around an hour to assemble and very happy. This is a beast as the griddle is very heavy. Best starter around and heats up quick. Very happy.

I’ve had this flat top less than month and have a few cooks on it. The wind has way more of an impact on cook quality than I like. 1/4 cooks have been good. If the wind is over 10mph I’ve had a terrible experience. Tonight it took 30 min to melt half of a stick of butter.

Bought the Gridiron about a month ago. So far, it's a great flat top with some nice features. I like the hiding of the grease bucket and the swinging door in front. The tool holder to adjust the flat top surface slope fits nicely behind it. I love how easily it starts up. Easy for pros or novices to start it. My minor nitpick is the amount of play in the temperature knobs. There is nearly 1/8 revolution's worth of play. So you can have it on low, turn the knob (without actually adjusting the temp) and have it show medium low. A minor detail that could be addressed. Also, my knobs aren't aligned correctly from the start. It's a very minor detail, but it would be nice just for remembering what temp you grilled something. An idea for Camp Chef- being able to adjust the flat top to slope the grease to the front tray is neat. What would be cool is either built in "leveling" gauges or simply some magnetic ones that you can stick on one side of the flat top and the back (or front) to tell if you have the flat top surface sloped sufficiently. It's not fun to do as your cooking, and being able to tell if it's sloped enough to go the grease drain would be huge. Also, making sure it isn't sloped to one side would be nice to know as well. I sometimes cook in different spots, and doing it on an uneven surface can make it a pain. The leveling gauge could show perfectly level, and sloping it correctly would move the bubble to one side of the level (which could indicate it's sloped correctly). At the end of the day, it's a great flat top that does the job. A few things could be added/re-done, but it's a great grill.

If you’re on the fence about which flat top griddle to buy, stop now, select the 36” Camp Chef! It is by far superior to the rest. The price is competitive to others; however, MUCH better quality! The steel used on the unit is just right (Goldilocks of build quality). It is awesome to cook on and soooo easy to clean up. Heats up quickly, cools down nicely, and is perfect size! I could not be happier with my decision to buy this unit. I will be purchasing another for a family member as I know he could not find a better made unit. NOTE: be sure to have plenty of space to spread out when assembling this unit. It comes in two boxes and you will be using parts from both boxes during the build. BOXES are heavy, be careful. One persons can assemble 90% of the unit, but do have help to place on the griddle and lid, it will save many colorful language! NOTE NOTE: in the instructions the nuts & bolt bag numbers follow numbers in the step by step guide. Now the instructions may have notated this; however, I am a male that reads the instructions at the end!

After researching griddles, I decided to get the Gridiron 36. It was an easy but long process to assemble. All good if you take your time. After cooking with it for about 1 months, I am happy with the consistency of heat and the ability to cook with perfection. This is a great griddle for me and my family.

I just put mine together on the Fourth. The assembly was was relatively easy and the instructions were easily understood. The fasteners were arranged in numbered bags that matched the steps. Great idea... First cook was smash burgers, of course, and were delicious.

I purchased this Griddle a couple of weeks ago and have cooked on it almost every night. Its a great product and I absolutely love the grease management system compared to others in the market.
This griddle is amazing. 10/10. Would encourage anyone looking at purchasing to do so! Easy to set up, easy to get started, clean etc. The features are outstanding.
