[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Maybe too powerful, but the last stove you will ever buy for camping. Buy nice or buy twice.

Just received my Mountaineer and love it. “Love it? And only four stars? Why?” 1. The latches don’t latch when stove is in transport mode. They need to be bent with pliers to hold the lid in place but straighten themselves out when used to secure the wind shields. It’s a nerdy-go-round. 2. The grate was poorly cut. It has to be forced into position because it’s not cut square. These are my only two issues straight out of the box.

Follow up to my earlier review. I wrote that you can use a 12” skillet and 6 to 8” skillet at the same time but, you can go bigger. The problem is the windscreen wings aren’t adjustable where they attach to the base of the stove ( like the Coleman gas camp stoves) and depending on pan size you may have no windscreen protection. It’s not a deal breaker but, having two different pan sizes can help. Very good performing and well built stove.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ordered a Camp Chef stove it was just what I wanted. It arrived quickly and in great condition. I used it for the first time on a 4 night 5 day trip and was liking cooking at home.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this camp stove for camping off grid in our teardrop trailer. It is solidly construction and the high btu output means you can make a pot of coffee or cook your burgers in no time flat, even at high altitude. The stove is very solidly constructed and I like the fact that I can run it off LP and not those little gas bottles which offer little run time and create a lot of litter.
