Great addition, Definitely needed. not sure why the do not include with the grill!
The shelf is great, but… The installation, which should have been simple was complicated by two screws on the left of the firebox that had become frozen in their barrel nuts. This was further complicated by the barrel nuts slipping in their holes. It required a Dremel tool and some grinding to cut out the two screws and barrel nuts. I then installed the shelf using two bolts, lock washers, and nuts (the way it should have been done in the first place.) The other thing I noticed is that the shelf makes it more difficult to get to the handy ash removal cup (which makes the cup not so handy.) I realize that these are first world problems but, there it is.

Bought this because I needed space for plates ,drinks, and whatever, and I have the Sidekick so I do need the extra space - works great for that. BUT gettimg at the ash cup is now a PITA, I now have to get down on my hands and knees Assembly only took about 10 minutes, and the quality of the shelf is very good. Delivery was fast

Easy to install since I had existing holes in grill body. Wish you still sold bottom shelf but was told it’s discontinued.

This thing is awesome in every way. It installs easy enough, it folds down when not in use, it adds super helpful space in front of the smoker for all sorts of needs. I wouldn't smoke without it tbh.

Functions as designed, easy installation, decent construction
Only about a week in with the new grill. The quality is sound and so far no disappointments. Well, I knew from the reviews that the Camp Chef app suffered in the ratings. And I agree it needs an upgrade. But that’s secondary to me at this stage and I believe Camp Chef will address it. Their service has been amazing. I love the grill and will test out its jerky capabilities this weekend. Happy Customer here.

I feel this should have been a part of the original grill setup. Installation was straightforward and having the bolt inserts already preinstalled on the grill made a huge difference on installation.

Recently added this to my 36" SmokePro Lux and it's as sturdy as my grill is and it fit's like it was an original part of my grill ~ Functional and folds out of the way easily and fits under the cover nicely ~ Fantastic ! It should have come with the grill but I guess in an effort to keep the cost of the grill down it obviously did not. I had to drill four holes to mount it, it came with a template that worked out fine and for me it was fairly easy. The shelf is an excellent addition to my Awesome grill !!

Easy assembly, and easy to fold up and down. The extra space on front makes it much easier to load and unload food on my grill. Very sturdy when up.

This shelf is a great addition to any 36" Camp Chef Smoker. It really makes working on the grill great, and when you are done, it folds out of the way.
