Walls/brackets Too Far Apart. Racks Fall Down

The three horizontal jerky rack shelves come with two vertical side walls to set the racks into place. After uninstalling the bolted in brackets for your normal warming rack (which is a silly design), you just set these two walls under the main bottom grill grates and slide your jerky racks into the grooves in the walls. The problem is that the walls/brackets are too far apart and the shelves fall down on one another. The ‘grooves’ that come out of the walls to hold the jerky racks in place need to be about a half inch or so longer so the racks can actually fit in between the walls. Like another reviewer here, I had to put tin foil in the grill to push the walls closer together so the racks will stay in place. Otherwise the top rack I had to delicately place crooked on the top of the rack to not fall down. Maybe my walls are bent, but they sure don't seem like it. Kind of a giant waste of money in my opinion.

Great Addition To The Grill!

This is a must have for anyone wanting to make jerky, but also for any one that wants the option to get more cooking area. You can also use the different racks at varying heights to get separation from the heat source below. This comes in handy for longer cooks to get more flavor from your smoker. Don't believe the reviews that talk about the sides of the rack falling down if you don't have a rack in one of the slots. I don't know what they are doing with their rack supports or if they might have installed wrong or something else, but if installed correctly they stay under the edge of the grates just fine when I'm not using them. I can see myself using them more often than naught as I'm trying to get better heat control whilst smoking my food.

Don’t Fit.

I have a Cabela’s 24” smoker/grill and theses are too big for the opening. The opening is 20 1/8” and the racks are 21”.

Messy Clean Up

We tried jerky and wings but both stick to the grates. After every use I need to pressure wash the meat stuck on the grates off. We tried oil, and spray nothing seams to work. its a real mess. thought it would be an awesome feature but not worth the mess plus the meat you loose.

Need Same Size Racks All Like The Top One

Love the racks but it would be nice if they were all 3 the size of the smaller rack of the 3 so you could rotate them as you were cooking you can't take the bottom 2 and move up the top one will fit all 3 spots the price was high but I do like em just the top jerky took much longer than the bottom and I couldn't rotate it. Quality was ok with some wires not lined up straight

C’mon Camp Chef, You Can Do So Much Better.

A little more thought into this and it could have been great. Why not put in the effort to make sure this was as impressive as the smoker you built? For one, it should be compatible with the current warming racks, which it isn’t if you don’t want them to fall. Second, we already have the hardware, why not bolt it in to be a permanent installation. I’m disappointed because I expected more from a company that produces such fine cooking equipment.

Camp Chef

worst pellet grill I’ve ever had. came to me with dents. customer service is unheard of with this company the auger stoped turning and cracked. And the worst thing is that ash disposals system has ash fl to ing all over. You have to get the ash out after each cooking.

Unstable Side Brackets

Really should have designed the brackets to secure to the grill, very unstable when used.

Good Product

I got this rack last month and was really excited but I had to send it back. It didn’t fit my smoker.

Jerky Racks

I have a woodwind wifi 24. The racks are great, but the instructions to install it are terrible. It didn't say that I needed to uninstall the previous racks.

Great Jerky Racks!

I just got my Jerky racks this week and i did have to remove the original top warming rack mounting bars from my smoker, but no big deal 4 screws and the original stainless steel warming racks fit into the jerky racks support brackets so you can still use them in combination with the jerky racks. the capacity of these jerky racks is great I did 3.96 Lbs of beef into jerky and I only used the top 2 racks. I could have done another 2 Lbs of beef easily with using the biggest bottom rack as well. I get so much more in my smoker now.

Camp Chef Pellet Grill Jerky Rack

Annoyed that one has to parietal disassemble the pellet grill to fit the jerky rack, I’ve considering returning it, wondering if it’ll only waste spaces and if I’ll actually make use of it. Though smoked salmon makes it appeals enough to keep around.

Great Way To Expand Cooking Surface.

This almost doubles the available smoking surface forthin cuts like bacon or jerkey. I would have preferred that the rack was bolted on rather than just held in place by the lower grates.
